I would absolutely support Jordan. If McCarthy exits, he’d be the logical choice.
But… there’s no sign of McCarthy exiting the run for Speaker.
Here’s the underlying piece that should have everyone’s attention. Hakeem
Jeffries is at 212, only 6 vote short of the Speakership. Do NOT underestimate the dems’ efforts to find six flippable moderates on the R side as this drags on. Then… we’re all effed.
The reality is that McCarthy could make a deal with Democrats to share power so he can be Speaker. Hakeem could wind up as the second guy in the House and then what. That would be real disaster.
Then McCarthy should drop out for the good of the party.
