Ukraine will rebuild.
——-
Yeh, right…with everyone else’s money. The corrupted little beggar Zelensky asked three days ago for One Trillion Dollar’s $$$. I am getting very tired of this welfare queen “ nation” and the war mongers supporting them.

Ukraine 1991-2023, the sooner the better.

The Russian cultural concept of war is brutal and barbaric.

It probably is ingrained within their culture from the Kievian Rus to the Grand Duchy of Moscow being ruled by the Mongol Golden Horde.

In game theory it is always interesting how you defend yourself against a bully. In nuclear war game theory with the Soviet Union, the plan that seemed to work best was MAD, or Mutual Assured Destruction.

The way that the rules of the Ukraine/Russia conflict are now set up is that Ukraine is not allowed to destroy Russia in absolute terms. Ukraine, can strike military targets on its border (if civilians are not involved) and if the targets are purely military (airfields, ammo depots, rail military transportation lines, etc.). The west will not allow Ukraine to threaten destruction of large portions of Russia. The hands of Ukraine have been tied by the west.

In WW2 it took a long time to start to firebomb and destroy enemy cities for the sake of destroying enemy cities. Often times that just strengthens the enemies resolve to resist.

The question is how many body bags filled with Russian soldiers will need to be sent home to relatives to be buried or relatives told their sons, husbands, fathers, and brothers were killed fighting for their country in an unpopular war, before the attacks against Ukraine stop.

While the economic sanctions are horrific and starting to make things much worse for the Russian military and civil population, I don't think that economic sanctions will be enough for Russia to withdraw troops from Ukraine and negotiate peace.

The only way to stop the bully is to brutally bloody Russia's nose. This whole thing started back in 2014 when Putin and his “little green men” invaded and took over first Crimea and then parts of eastern Ukraine. The world did not honor the Budapest Memorandum on Ukraine sovereignty.

“...prohibited the Russian Federation, the United Kingdom and the United States from threatening or using military force or economic coercion against Ukraine, Belarus, and Kazakhstan, “except in self-defense or otherwise in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations.” As a result of other agreements and the memorandum, between 1993 and 1996, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Ukraine gave up their nuclear weapons.....”

Therefore Ukraine needs to acquire nuclear weapons.

I am sure that Ukrainian military and political leaders feel that had they not given up their nuclear weapons, Russia would never have attacked.

Do I think Ukraine would like to hold a press conference at which they show the media a set of nuclear weapons that they will use against Moscow should there be anymore attacks on Ukrainian cities? Yes, they would like that. I don't think that the West will willingly allow that.

Does Iran want to acquire nuclear weapons (if they haven't already)? Absolutely. Would Taiwan want to acquire nuclear weapons? Probably.

Why do Pakistan and India both have nuclear weapons? Because they both believe that MAD will prevent the use or large scale invasion of their country.

Just do it. The West will condemn Ukraine. And then move on. Russia will never dare to invade Ukraine again. But first Ukraine will have to win this war. Then they can build nuclear weapons in secret.

When did all these Russian Bots show up?

Strangely just about when Putin's army crossed the border into Ukraine in February.

This is a 50 year old heavy mortar that is slow and inaccurate as hell, with the comparative short range inherent in all mortars

It also has the disadvantage of having very large and heavy ammunition. That strains the logistics network more than a weapon with smaller, but still powerful ammunition.

“Ukraine will rebuild.”

Of course it will!
With your/my great grandchildren’s tax dollars!!
Isn’t it noble of us to heap loads of debt onto the backs of generations of Americans not yet born.

FJB and the neocons who serve his purposes.

Most distressing is that freepers do not understand the war.

Russia has subcontracted to Iran to build and operate in Ukraine various remote controlled robotic craft. Iran is gaining the money and experience.

Our side also is using this as a testing ground.

Iran (its terrorists) could launch massive attacks against the Gulf States, or Israel, or the US or against any infidel.

Well, we still have 155. But I think all the 8 inch is gone. At least those 8 inch long barrels are long gone. I don’t know if they kept any howitzers. Maybe they are rattling around the arsenals of allies we gave them to?

At the beginning of the war.

The worst part is not that they are essentially cheering for Russia and Putin but that some of them will accuse you of being a Soros lover, a globalist, a homosexual, a Nazi/nazi lover, etc just for wanting to see the Ukrainians keep their independence. They also can never admit that they were wrong about anything, say everything posted against their viewpoint is propaganda, and often can’t make a logical argument to save their saves.

Just pop into any thread about the war and you’ll see what I mean.

You know that crew will keep the trucks right next to the gun so reloading is easier. So some decent counter-battery fire and boom!

Well, I know 12th Marines decommissioned their last 8" battery in 1985 because my battery shared their building. At that time, we were using Vietnam-era M114 pigs, 155mm, but were in the process of replacing them with M198 155's around that same time. Now, the M198's have been replaced by the M777, also a 155mm.

What weapons “have no Western equivalents”?
——
How about Russia’s massive energy reserves? Oil, NG, diesel, etc…and the brain dead West just shot themselves in the nuts by putting a cap on Russian oil, are they communists? Fixing prices ALWAYS results in disaster….they will sell all they need to sell to China India, etc…and the West will experience huge shortages and huge gas spikes….how can the West survive having such brain dead leadership?
Vlad is eating the West for lunch, time and time again, not hard with a senile old man leading the now comical, suicidal West.

Why is Iran more advanced with their drone capability than Russia? Russia inherited the Military–industrial complex from the Soviet Union and their space program is second best in the world after the U.S.
