Cookies on my laptop get deleted automatically every time I quit the browser. I am not concerned if Twitter has my IP address. It is not a secret. Anytime I write email or buy something on line they have your IP address. FBI records every thing you do on internet.

I'm sure they are. You can also use Tor or a VPN, etc. Not everyone wants to jump through hoops to participate in what is for the most part a clever marketing/publicity stunt.

Never joined Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. Tried Parler. When that went offline, tried Gab, returned to Parler when it came back, then tried Truth Social once they allowed access via computer browser. Got rid of all three earlier this year. I think those sites are a waste of time. All I ever saw was a lot of stuff reposted over, and over again. FR has always been my first choice these past 25 years for perusing articles, and making comments, and putting trolls in their place.
