Women who believe in God do not kill their children. We are basically a God-less country. God was pushed under the bus 60 years ago by atheists. Communist teachers control our children. Unless this country has a spiritual awakening this country will not exist in a few years. We’ll go the way of Rome. Destroyed from within.

“Any country that accepts abortion is not teaching its people to love, but to use violence to get what they want. That is why the greatest destroyer of love and peace is abortion.”

“What is taking place in America,” she said, “is a war against the child. And if we accept that the mother can kill her own child, how can we tell other people not to
kill one another.” February 1997 - National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, DC

You are correct. Only people in America who are serious about God now are the Muslims. Christian churches are probably losing attendance.

But when it comes to elections, ONLY thing that matters is winning. I watched Rick Santorum on Newsmax today. The man is seriously pro-life and a good Christian. But he is out of power and can’t change any laws.

Many states had some abortion proposal on ballot yesterday. Every pro-abortion proposal won. Few months back Kansas had the same result.

Which leads me to conclude that from a political perspective anti-abortion is not a good campaign issue for republicans who want to win.

In my personal life, my wife became pregnent nearing age 40. It would be our first child. I was in my 50’s. Her OB-Gyne advised her to get amnio test to determine if the fetus had down’s syndrome based on our ages. We discussed that and I convinced my wife to skip the test. If the result was bad, we would be forced to make decisions. So we skipped the test since we wanted the baby born regardless of any issues. In my personal life I am pro-life, in poilitical matters I avoid pushing my personal views on others. There are many other winning issues for conservatives which do not bring pro-abortion voters out of the woodwork to vote.
