So he should be able to pull ahead to 51-52% or better.

UPSET ALERT: In Virginia’s 2nd congressional district, Jen Kiggans (R) leads Elaine Luria (D) 56-44 with an estimated 77% reporting.
Budd now trails by barely 1% and and taking big chunks out of his deficit with each update.
Western NC (solid R outside pinko Asheville) is largely unreported yet, but the one possibly sour note is that Charlotte and the Triangle area are reporting slowly and clearly holding back Dem votes.
Probably in order to add whatever sauce they need once all R areas are counted — or maybe they’re just a little slow for no particular reason.

I think that is exactly what is going on.
They took the Senate by machine voting last time — and no doubt kept it by the same. Big money, but some bad GOP candidates too.
I'll never understand why people haven't fled that cesspool of corruption.
