California is also an AT WILL employment state, so yeah, he can fire them for just about any reason or no reason.

Unless they have an employment contract with specific job requirements; then you just find another reason or any good reason to fire them.

Good reasons are
1: excessive tardiness
2: lack of productivity
3: insubordination
4: theft (including pencils and paper clips)
5: violation of any company rule or policy
6: disrespect to any company officer
7: disrespect to any customer
8: excessive absences
9: unauthorized absences
10: any action or negligence that affects company productivity or reputation

And the list can go on forever, you just have to be creative when you want to can some useless piece of sh!t.

Just don’t ever list “EMPLOYEE WORKS HARD ONLY WHEN CORNERED LIKE THE RAT HE/SHE IS”.

Musk did the right thing in firing the CEO because he was an East Indian who was raised there and lived under the caste system. A lower caste member would never criticize an upper caste member that’s why everyone who said anything against another Twitter member that the CEO disagreed with was suspended immediately as was done to thousands of people. These people would never assimilate into the American system.

If California interferes with the firings, then transfer all those people to a new office building, with zero connection to regular operations. Equip the new office with big stacks of coloring books which must be completed on daily basis. This will continue while the lawyers finish the legal process to fire them.

Learn to sweep.

It would be fun watching the “necessary” janitorial staff wave goodbye to the departing “non essential” employees.

It would be Beyond awesome if Trump eliminated the senior executive service and advocated for the repeal of the 17th Amendment

I wonder what selection criteria for being sacked are ...

- wear a man-bun - fired
- drink peppermint-flavored tea - fired
- drive a Prius - so very fired
- other

Elon knows the bottom line means profit or loss. Looks like he has good advisors who are well ahead of the Twitter situation. Meaning he fires these useless eaters RIGHT NOW , or be out a hundred million or so (My guess) in Twitter stock distributions to them.

These censors have stolen enough twitter money through the years. Why let them get any more?

“Musk will move the hq to Austin”

What? and wind up with more liberals for employees, no way.

He needs to find a place where liberals don’t have a nest.

This smells of fake news fear mongering. They cite a “report” in the New York Post but I can’t find it there.

As I recall, the friend of Elon Musk is a former Twitter CEO. I can’t remember is name.

He is likely the reason that Musk went after Twitter as a business proposition. The exCEO definitely knows where the firings must take place. The firings will be precise and not just random.

Without doubt, there is a plan for the new Twitter and several perhaps many are involved in it.

But there are no stocks to disburse. It isn’t a public company any more.

Bonuses? Sure. Stock options? Using what stock?

You do not need 7,000 people to manage the software and infrastructure.

You need 7,000 to manage censorship for a huge userbase.

I'm enjoying watching Musk operate. Only this year did I take an interest in who and what he is about after hearing him in a video about hiring people. ..he was spot on.
So it's been enjoyable watching him since then - he IS quite the character - and dares to follow his own path. Right or wrong he's his own man.
