How climate change is likely to worsen inflation
The Hill ^ | 10/04/2022 | Shirin Ali

Climate change isn’t viewed as a major contributing factor for high prices right now, but as severe weather events increase in frequency and devastate industries that contribute to the U.S. economy, experts warn it increasingly will be if temperatures keep rising.

Severe weather events, like hurricanes, wildfires and droughts, devastate entire communities while costing billions to rebuild. It also affects industry, from energy to transportation and agriculture, leading to a significant rise in food costs for millions.

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said last week while speaking in North Carolina that climate change can manifest itself in “acute, weather-related supply shocks,” that create sharp reductions in capacity and raise prices for consumers.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has also warned that climate change can and will disrupt food availability, reduce agricultural productivity and interrupt food delivery.

The federal agency warned that, “spikes in food prices after extreme events are expected to be more frequent in the future.”

You have got to be kidding me with this retard crap

No, no. It’s important that the public knows that Biden and the democrats are completely blameless for inflation—”which is just going up an inch”. It’s all the climate-change deniers’/Republicans’ fault.

When the Treasury Secretary is a complete moron, we have a problem.

I agree. Climate Change is a major driver of inflation.

Of course we all know that CO2 triggered climate change is simply a hoax. But that hoax affects inflation way more than any change in the climate could. We spend $trillions fighting climate change. Since we don’t have that money we print some up at The Fed and borrow it from them.

Deficit Sending is the major cause of inflation. Not climate.

Co2 is main plant food!
More Co2 in atmosphere increases crop yields and saves water, especially on marginal lands.

I think what everyone is trying to say is that “Climate Change” has been with us since the beginning of time and will still be here long after we are all gone. And you can take that to the bank.

I’m sure climate change will have a significant impact on inflation but I would imagine racism will be a bigger cause of it.

That the climate is changing IS NOT news.

If the climate were to STOP changing, THAT would be news.

It bears mention that the planet IS NOT YET as warm as it was in the previous Interglacial Period. Meaning regardless how warm it is NOW, it's likely to get warmer still ENTIRELY FROM NATURAL CAUSES.

Better title

“How Natural Cyclical Warming trends have caused the left to loose their minds and falsely blame mankind for the warming”

It will contribute to inflation, but not the way this greenie thinks. So-called “Clean Energy” is expensive energy and must be backed up with natural gas generators when the wind isn’t blowing and the sun isn’t high. This will guarantee that everything we buy will be more expensive because the energy component to make and transport that item will be much higher.
