I get no pleasure from reading the problems Russia is
facing these days. Frankly, if China were a decent
global player, I wouldn’t wish bad things on them
either.
Sadly, the leadership in both nations is very problematic,
so the people have to put up with what the leadership
usher in that will affect them negatively.
It happens here too though.
Things aren’t looking good globally right now.

The opposite, actually. Biden projected weakness and indifference to Ukraine in 2021 while he partnered with Putin on a new Iran deal. Putin took that as a green light and here we are. Reagan taught us peace was achieved through strength. We would be wise to follow his legacy now.

Nearly everything about the Russians’ nuclear and chemical forces is stupid and inadequate. NATO forces would cut right through them and go to Moscow.

I did a lot of coverage during the Maidan here on FR - it was a constant having to correct all the stuff coming out of Kiev and Ukraine in general. US news was horrible as all they wanted was people to take sides at that time as well - and not to see or understand the reality of the situation as it really was happening.
There a substantial element of people in Ukraine who really wants all Russians out of Ukraine.They also prefer all people of color not be there. We saw this when the colored students were given such a hard time when they wanted to leave as this conflict began, - India finally had to send a flight for their students to get them out.
Ukraine is a racist country though they will deny it up and down. Their actions, among this element, prove otherwise. Thus Ukraine will always be in conflict - never in Nato - and have some sort of frozen conflict year round.
