The PR electrical grid goes down ALL the time.
I was flying there when it went down (the whole dang island) for several days because a squirrel got fried in a transformer. True story.

It seems like PR has frequent island-wide blackouts. Do they have people from CA running and maintaining their grid?
You’d think in the tropic, solar power and wind power would be a big thing.
It is not a big thing when solar panels and windmills get hit with hurricane force wind gusts. My guess is the Puerto Rico power grid is still recovering from the Cat 5 hurricane Maria that hit the island 5 years ago almost to the day.
