Can someone explain the whole Pell Grant doubling the loan forgiveness amount thing? What is that about?
Im guessing that is because Pell Grants are awarded based on family income at the time you were going to college. They are likely using it as a proxy for coming from lower-income backgrounds, regardless of current income.
I’m guessing you can will your answer if you could find the racial stats for people receiving the Pells. How cynical of me.
