Hey, Dilbert - we've been calling them "Kamikaze drones" for decades. It's a term we (the DoD) uses to describe attacks when the drone is intentionally destroyed as opposed to observing or delivering a munition.

What are you afraid of? defaming the idiots the Japanese convinced to kill themselves attacking our ships?

Then by your hyped adjective, every bomb, every cruise missile is a “kamikaze” strike.

No, I’m afraid of the perversion and diminution of words. When a machine is labeled as a “kamikaze” it equates destroying a machine with the fanatics in Japan during WW2 who saw their death as the “Devine Wind” striking the enemy. It diminishes the horror of such a word, just as the overuse of the word “racist” or “nazi”.
