A suicide UAV struck the Russian Black Sea Fleet’s headquarters in #Sevastopol- It looks like the same kind of modified Chinese commercial drone that used to strike the oil facility in Rostov in June.
It is unclear what air defense was doing.

Unless a human was piloting the drone, it’s not a “kamikaze” strike. I’m not surprised the writers for DM toss around terms like that because they think it sounds impressive, but it shows an ignorance of history. But I guess like so many words today (e.g. “woman”), its meaning in our Orwellian world has ben warped and twisted.
Out of control drone lands on roof, catches fire and, viola, instant Ukrainian strike causing massive damage and panicked Orcs.
As with many other sectors of the post-COVID economy, it looks like many kamikaze pilots are now also working remote from home.

I spent three weeks in Crimea. It is Russian in heritage. I took a side trip to Yalta. It was a lovely place. What is going on now is tragic.
I follow several Russians on Instagram. There is no indication even that they are at war. I’m not sure they are allowed to hear much about it.
I spent one week in Kyiv. It was a wonderful city.
To be sure, I think Putin is an @sshole, but I don’t judge an entire country by its leader. I sure would not want to be judged because 81 million people voted for Biden.

Drones are the new “atomic bomb” and this is the new nuclear arms race because they’re going to radically alter the way we fight future wars. They’ll alter where and when you chose to wage war, and against whom.
The differences between them are that it’s easy to keep atomic secrets out of the hands of the general public, and atom bombs are technically challenging to build.
Drones technology, on the other hand, is so accessible (and so relatively simple) that even a mental defective like Rob Reiner could go on Amazon and buy everything he needs to make a functional Kamikaze drone.
And like the atom bomb, that’s toothpaste that never will go back in the tube. The nation that has the most sophisticated technology (especially in the defense) takes the catbird seat. And the nations without will be extremely vulnerable to the nations with. Get on board or get run over.
