Harris to announce $1B to states for floods, extreme heat

WASHINGTON (AP) — Vice President Kamala Harris called climate change an “immediate” and “urgent” crisis Monday as she detailed Biden administration efforts to respond to disasters such as deadly flooding in Kentucky and wildfires ravaging her home state of California.

Harris was set to announce more than $1 billion in grants available to states to address flooding and extreme heat exacerbated by climate change. The competitive grants will help communities across the nation prepare for and respond to climate-related disasters.

“The frequency has accelerated in a relatively short period of time,” Harris said. “The science is clear. Extreme weather will only get worse, and the climate crisis will only accelerate.″

The White House is leading a government-wide response to climate disasters that “recognizes the urgency of this moment and our ability to do something about it,” she said.

The vice president was at the hurricane center for a briefing before visiting Florida International University, where she is expected to announce grants to defend against extreme weather events across the country.

The West cost fires are not as bad as past years even though they have neglected their forests.

Should the government give assistance to Kentucky and California citizens or illegal immigrants?

“grants available to states to address flooding and extreme heat exacerbated by climate change“

I’m old enough to remember floods and heat waves over 50 years ago

Yep! They REALLY want to break the bank, and they are doing a damn fine job.

By conflating regular flooding along rivers with “extra funds for extreme heat” because of global warming, the taxpayers are ripped off again so that corrupt politicos involved in the climate scam can skim millions.

It is summer, yah Aholes! It gets hot then. Mebbe if yah dragged yer fat arses out of the bloated blue cities you’d notice that weather changes on a regular basis — contrary to parasites screaming about catastrophe.
And, no it is not warming. A recent audit of temp sensors across the US showed that 96% were inappropriately placed in city centers — against rules on where to put them. Why? So that they would return skewed temps. Yah see, if cities get more bloated the heat of the extra humans makes local temp increase — which is precisely why temp sensors are forbidden to be placed anywhere near cities.

“Harris was set to announce more than $1 billion in grants available to states to address flooding and extreme heat exacerbated by climate change. “

so does that mean that states that have extreme heat or flooding that are NOT exacerbated by climate change will get bupkes?

All of this money will go to abortion providers because women must have access to abortions after debilitating flooding.

We’ve been in the high 90s for over a week and touched 100 a few days ago. How do I get my “extreme heat” moola? I want my share.

You obviously have dementia. I personally remember that it was a constant 72 degrees F and low humidity for decades on end.
