“What is the US’ excuse?”
The US still has a system of states whom are individual.
That is, if those states exercise their power and resist the criminal central government.
It comes down to the states. That is why local and state elections are “thee” most important in this country.
This next election will tell the story.
There are 19,000 FDA employees and not one of them can figure out how to get baby formula into stores. The CDC reports to the teachers union and much of America's kids were out of school months on end. Parents concerned about what is being taught in local schools are deemed to be Domestic Terrorists by the DOJ and are then investigated by the FBI. The weaponized DOJ and FBI have no problem arresting and jailing citizens for months on end without even charging them. Fifty-one federally employed intelligence officials lie to the American people claiming that Hunter Biden's laptop is Russian Disinformation without accountability allowing Biden to win the Presidency. The DHS refuses to enforce border security and allows literally millions of unidentified illegals into the country threatening our national security. The Department of Interior and EPA are ordered to not allow drilling or exploration by oil companies on federal land. The SEC is ordered to not allow investment into energy companies by banks or other investment entities. I can go on, but what is the point? The Federal Government is unaccountable and becoming a danger to the average Americans’ pocketbooks, especially the lower and lower middle classes.
