That’s right, he didn’t deny the election was stolen. He said it was stolen, we tried to fix it but we lost that fight - time to focus on 2024. And that sounds reasonable if those were his only options.

But there was a third option: He should have said they stole the election and the American people are being lied to. The American people deserve the truth and even if we can’t get the election decertified and even if we can’t put the real winner back in the White House, we can NEVER stop fighting until the whole truth is known about what happened in the days following November 3, 2020.

It’s like solving a murder case. It won’t bring the victim back to life, but it is still important that the truth be known. Otherwise, there is no justice.

Screw “moving on”.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't remember Brooks ever saying not to punish the people responsible for the cheat and make an example of them.

Again, you can give up on trying to undo the cheat without giving up on prosecuting the cheaters.

And, as a software engineer, I can tell you that details like that matter to the many engineers and programmers in Brooks' district. Before we get mad at somebody for saying the wrong thing, you can't just tell me your summary of what he said. We don't need your summary, we need the specifics and we can do our own summarizing because we're used to political talk being full of false summaries. Look at how many times the left has done the same thing to Trump: summarizing his "controversial" "racist" statements without telling us exactly what Trump said so that we can see he didn't say anything at all controversial or racist.

Forgive me before I believe a summary of Brooks from the campaign of a girl who made her career working for Shelby and has lots of GOPe PAC groups supporting her. At the risk of sounding like John Travolta talking to Brent Spiner in Phenomenon, I need specifics, Bob, specifics.

Okay, why did Trump switch his endorsement from Brooks to Britt?

Unless something massive black swan event changes things she’s in... she needs .4%+1 vote, while he needs 16.5% + 1 vote.

Election is 35 days away.. undecideds would have to break more than 40 to 1 for MO to win assuming this poll is remotely accurate.. statistically impossible.

“Blah, blah, blah. Hold your nose, and vote for the lesser of two evils. But when it’s all over, you’re still stuck with evil. Republicans love compromising their values.”

Hello from a very similar situation here in Pennsylvania, where we’re stuck with Oz — who makes Katie Britt look like Jesse Helms. (Is that a better or worse image than Britt being “Richard Shelby in drag”).

Both states could have done much better, the major difference is that Britt will actually win in November (Brooks of course would have too).

I agree with everything you say and I wasn’t upset by whatever Brooks said at the rally (I’m not even sure what he said or didn’t say).

I was just responding to a FReeper who presented two options for what Brooks could have said: A) deny the election was stolen B) acknowledge it was stolen but forget about it and move on.

I didn’t like the sound of either, so I was offering a third one: C) acknowledge the election was stolen but DON’T move on. Keep fighting to uncover the truth.

Maybe that’s what he did say - if so, good for him.

I blame the Alabama Republicans for not forcing a debate between Katy and Mo. Mo would clean her clock, and the people of Alabama would see who’s informed and who’s spewing the politispeak.

Hope Britt wins and turns into a dependable MAGA supporter too, and remembers who helped her get elected.

You have better odds to win the lottery. She will remember who got her elected: Shelby, McConnell, the US Chamber of Commerce, and the Democrats who voted for her in the open primary.

Her having the Trump endorsement wasn't a big deal other than it meant that Mo Brooks didn't have it.

"Hello from a very similar situation here in Pennsylvania, where we’re stuck with Oz."

I'm in New York State. Changed my 40+ voter registration from Republican to No Party early last year. I made a vow to myself at that time, that I would not be casting any ballots in any upcoming elections until Republicans did something to eliminate the voter fraud they sanctioned on January 6th. I can't vote in primaries being in No Party anyway, so it's no big deal. And since I live in NY State, it's not as if my vote counts anyway. Downstate elects our Governors, U.S. Senators, and President. The only election I will ever vote in again, will be if Donald Trump runs for President. In a way, I'm hoping he won't, because I don't see anything being any different next time around. Democrats will still be vindictive, conniving assholes, and Republicans will stab him in the back.

I'm almost 75, and probably won't be around for very many years anyway. I've already outlived the rest of my family. They all smoked. I didn't. Three died of lung cancer. One of a massive heart attack at 51, and my oldest sister of a stroke at 74. She was a life-long alcoholic, and in institutional care for most of her adult life. The only reason she lived that long was because she was institutionalized. I have my own set of health issues that no one else in my family had. Just yesterday I had to go to the ER, because new meds my doctor prescribed (cholesterol, and blood pressure) depleted my sodium badly, and sent my liver and kidney numbers sky high. I'm still feeling crappy, but hoping I can get back on track to attend my great-nephew's high school graduation party the end of the month.

It is my understanding Democrats are throwing money and support behind less than favorable Republicans and where the can they are cross over voting. This may be the case here. If it has an R behind the name vote them in unless you the Democrats controlling the House and Senate again.

Probably, sure. You’ll be more productive campaigning elsewhere.

Whine? You’ve got more nerve than a bum tooth.

No. Brooks and McConnell hate each other.

Or more so, McConnell hates Mo, as he won’t RINO down like the other more go along to get along Republicans Mitch dominates.

When Trump endorses Bush League Republicans, it is not “cleaning house”, it is adding to the problem.

As an Alabama resident and Brooks supporter, I can tell you with no doubt that Brooks is no Mitch supporter.

Britt was annointed by Richard Shelby, a RINO for certain.
