A man’s outburst at a judge was not a reason to extend his prison sentence, according to a recent Ohio Supreme Court ruling.

In a 4-3 decision the high court ruled that Manson Bryant’s profanity-laced courtroom outburst after receiving a 22-year sentence might have warranted a contempt of court finding, however, the trial judge could not increase the prison sentence by six years saying that the outburst showed “no remorse” for the crime. . . . .

Bryant was on parole at the time of his 2018 arrest for a home invasion in Paniseville. He was found guilty of aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery, kidnapping and abduction.

I remember that courtroom video. It took about 5 deputies to pry him out of the courtroom.

Supposedly giving a cop the middle finger is “free speech” protected too, a court found.

Judges are very jealous of their courtroom and power bestowed upon them. Abuse it at your own risk.

‘SupCo’ reminds me of some African American character in a sitcom saying: “S’up, cuz?”

Gee, do I have to look?

Answer: No, I don’t. But I did anyway. That’s why I’m qualified to say I don’t, and that you don’t either.

True dat, until you run into a ego driven roid-raging tyrant cop. You may beat the charge but you can't beat the ride. That will remain a problem until "qualified immunity" is abolished.

Below that article is one of a guy who stole $2,200 of Fiesta Ware.

It’d be cruel and unusual punishment if the Fiesta Ware guy was a cellmate with Bryant.

Judges in their courtrooms, captains on their ships, and border guards/customs agents have a lot of power. It’s best not to cross them. But some people have crossed people in authority for their entire lifetimes and aren’t aware that some authorities, like the three I mention, can really lower the boom

one of our Supreme court judges is the Governor’s son, while another was one of Soros’s first SOS project hires. She got “elected” to the Ohio Supreme court in 2020. I don’t know how legitimate the others are, but I know this much: The cards are stacked against us!
