The Russia-Trump collusion narrative of 2016 and beyond was a dirty trick for the ages, and now we know it came from the top—candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton. That was the testimony Friday by 2016 Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook in federal court, and while this news is hardly a surprise, it’s still bracing to find her fingerprints on the political weapon.
Mr. Mook testified as a witness in special counsel John Durham’s trial of Michael Sussmann, the lawyer accused of lying to the FBI. In September 2016, Mr. Sussmann took claims of a secret Trump connection to Russia’s Alfa Bank to the FBI and said he wasn’t acting on behalf of any client. Prosecutors say he was working for the Clinton campaign.
Prosecutors presented evidence this week that Mr. Sussmann worked with cyber-researchers and opposition-research firm Fusion GPS to produce the claims on behalf of the Clinton campaign, and to feed them to the FBI. An FBI agent testified that a bureau analysis quickly rejected the claims as implausible. (Mr. Sussmann has pleaded not guilty.)
Prosecutors asked Mr. Mook about his role in funneling the Alfa Bank claims to the press. Mr. Mook admitted the campaign lacked expertise to vet the data, yet the decision was made by Mr. Mook, policy adviser Jake Sullivan (now President Biden’s national security adviser), communications director Jennifer Palmieri and campaign chairman John Podesta to give the Alfa Bank claims to a reporter. Mr. Mook said Mrs. Clinton was asked about the plan and approved it. A story on the Trump-Alfa Bank allegations then appeared in Slate, a left-leaning online publication.

Obama was the reason the CIA, FBI and DOJ are so corrupt that they would play along.
Forgive me for asking this, but is there a law against making stuff up about your political opponent? I suspect the answer is NO or there would be thousands of candidates sitting in jail.
The problem is when it’s shopped to authorities to start an investigation. Hence, Durham is going after Sussman for lying about his motives.

The Trump administration was hobbled by Bush League Republicans, both inside the White House and in Congress.
EVERY Republican in DC knew by June of 2017 it was a hoax and yet they continued to assist the Democrats to keep it going.
She’s guilty as sin but I would be shocked if she ever serves a day, or even an hour, in jail.
The Clintons have some sort of ‘protection’ surrounding them which seems almost preternatural.
We lost the Republic on Usurpation Day, when ALL of our elected AND appointed swore in the ineligible Kenyan from Indonesia in direct violation of the Constitution.
Durham knows that and continues, if the results of the trial are not correct, he can file for a mistrial and then retry the case in another court.
Sheet...we lost it many, many years ago....Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon....the list prolly goes back further..before my time.

In order for conspiracy to be a crime, the conspiracy must be a conspiracy to commit a crime.
I don't think Congress passed a law making it a crime to make and amplify false allegations. Politicians make false allegations all the time, it's pretty much their job.
Of course it is morally reprehensible, it is wrong, it damages society.
That itself is a victory, in a way.

They ALL knew and did butt covering for each other as best they could. That whole sham investigation was never about finding the truth, but burying it, or trying to, all while leaking lies to the press like a sieve.
