Georgia Death Row Inmate Requests Last Meal Before Planned Execution Next Week

A Georgia death row inmate set to be executed for the 1976 murder of an 8-year-old girl and rape of a 10-year-old girl has made his last meal request, according to the Georgia Department of Corrections

Virgil Delano Presnell, Jr. is scheduled to be executed on May 17 at 7 p.m. Presnell, 68, was accused of abducting and attacking the two girls as they walked home from school in Cobb County, just outside Atlanta, on May 4, 1976.

Presnell asked for four hamburgers, four French fries, two vanilla milkshakes, four sodas, and 8-piece bucket of chicken, potato salad and two pints of vanilla ice cream as his last meal.

Virgil D. Presnell Jr., was sentenced to death in October 1976 in Cobb County. Five months earlier, on May 4, 1976, he kidnapped two schoolgirls. Presnell confessed to laying in wait for the 10- and 8-year-old girls. He raped and sodomized the older girl, and when 8-year-old Lori Ann Smith tried to run away, he drowned her in a stream.

Are liberal democrat politics to blame for this pos being alive anytime after being found guilty? It would make sense if that were the case. Libs cheer over murdering innocent defenseless babies so this guy still breathing 46 years later would figure. What a screwy confusing world this life has become.

A lot of wardens have gone to the meal of the day as it is written on the institutional menu cycle for that particular meal/day.

I don’t think he really needs any special treatment. He’s been treated special for as long as he’s been in prison. He probably should have been marched out to a Gallows and properly hanged after all was said and done trial wise but we don’t operate that way any longer.
