Seniors and other people who rely on Social Security benefits could next year see their biggest cost-of-living adjustment since 1981, with an advocacy group for older Americans forecasting an 8.6% hike.

The typical monthly Social Security check is about $1,658, which means beneficiaries could see an increase of $142.60 per month in early 2023, bringing the average check to about $1,800, according to a new forecast from the Senior Citizens League.

Democrats parade the big lie that Social Security protection is their #2 goal, right after protecting abortion, well make that #3 after protecting illegal immigration. But it was the democrats that made a portion of SS Benefits taxable, then continually lowered the income level at which point the benefits were taxable. The democrats have been stealing American’s Social Security for over 40 years.

Yes, I think anyone in that situation would be the democrat’s prime support.

SS/SSDI people are one of the dem’s primary voter block. It’s not up to debate, it just is how it is.
................................................

I’m one of those “S.S. people” people you mentioned and to suggest that I and a lot of other members of F.R “are dem’s primary voter block” is deeply insulting.

F.Y.I. I will be 77 years old next month and have never voted for a democrat, for any office, in my life and am not about to start now. Peddle your bull manure at D.U., where you belong.

My last COLA was mostly eaten up by the medicare increase. $9 was all that was left.

You did better than I did. Mine went down by $7.

Lets go Brandon.

Never forget it was Senator Joe Biden who led the charge to tax Social Security.
