Republicans Jump To 10 Point Lead In Generic Ballot Test

Congressional Republicans now have a 10-point lead in the generic ballot test ahead of November’s mid-term elections, according to a new poll from The Federalist and Susquehanna Polling & Research.

The new poll found that 49 percent of likely voters would vote for Republicans if the elections were held today, versus just 39 percent who said they would pull the lever for the Democrat candidate. In a previous poll released by The Federalist in February, Republicans had a 47-41 lead in the generic ballot test. Additionally, the new poll found widespread support for anti-groomer laws and Elon Musk’s Twitter takeover bid and widespread opposition to attempts to force female athletes to compete against men who claim to be women.

When asked about their opinion of Speaker Nancy Pelosi, just 31 percent of voters said they had a favorable opinion of her. Kamala Harris is 15 points underwater on the favorability question.

When asked if they supported anti-grooming laws, such as one recently passed in Florida, that prohibited government school employees from exposing elementary school children to sexual topics without the consent of their parents, 70 percent of respondents said they supported such laws. Support for anti-grooming laws transcended both party and ideology, according to the poll results. Fifty-nine percent of Democrats and 69 percent of self-described progressive liberals said they supported anti-grooming laws that protect elementary school children from being forcibly exposed to sexual topics by school employees without parental consent.

On the issue of transgender sports, 69 percent of respondents said it was unfair to force female athletes to compete against male athletes who identify as transgender and claim to be women.

Pols are all over the map on Brandon’s approval rating. Is there an accurate one?

You’ve got to be braindead to be on the losing end of the poll. As the days wear down to November it will be Byedone at 12% approval. Only his family and his cronies that will approve. Maybe!

“70% support anti-groomer laws like Florida’s”

So, roughly 30% of the country are either perverts and pedophiles or they support perverts and pedophiles. Got it.

Polls are meaningless, just feel good stuff.
If Republicans want to win, they have to assume they are behind.

Unfortunately, 10 points isn’t within the margin of fraud.

You’ve got to be braindead to be on the losing end of the poll.

In the so-called generic metric, Dems have a floor of about 35% of the electorate. Although it fluctuates a bit, it's been consistent over decades. Through various forms of manipulating voting during an election, they make up the rest they need to win. Vote manipulation has been a Dem thing since the days of Boss Tweed, Tammany Hall and machine politics.

"Polls are meaningless, just feel good stuff. If Republicans want to win, they have to assume they are behind."

Which they are, in a few other polls not being hyped here. It may seem incredible that Democrats could be up in any poll, even generic ones like these, but it's not possible to overestimate the stupidity of a large (Democrat) segment of the American population.

The lefties at Economist/YouGov (D+3)

The lefties at Politico (D+1)

Even the (formerly) beloved Rasmussen is D+1 at this time. Being 6 months out from election day the polls are all over the place, enabling everyone to believe whatever polls match their wishes and hopes. That will still be true, as it always is, 6 *days* out from election day.

Except, what’s left out is the fact that the Poll also shows these same individuals who express opinions aligned with our side would also STILL vote for Biden and Kamal each over Trump in 2024. Think about that for a second. The poll shows they hate everything that the Dems are doing, but they would still vote to re elect Demented Joe Or Kamala, if she ran for President, over Trump by 1-2 points. We live in a stupid Country.

GOP had an 11 point generic ballot lead in a poll taken months ago.... this isn’t news... not sure why its being reported like this is a “new” piece of information.

I know polls don’t mean much, but 46% negative for Trump should open some eyes around FreeRepublic. But it won’t. People around here will simply dismiss information they don’t like, and Trump will continue to be the Savior to many.

I think some generic polls had the GOP at +15 a couple of months back. I don’t know which ones had that, but this one represents a Dem recovery if it was the same poll.
