PRESIDENT Volodymyr Zelensky fought back tears as he visited the town of Bucha where Vladimir Putin’s troops have been accused of butchering civilians and burying them in mass graves.
The Ukrainian leader, who was visibly emotional, was flanked by security as he vowed to ensure that the “war crimes” committed by Russian soldiers on his country’s soil were “the last such evil on Earth”.
Harrowing pictures from the city, to the north-west of the capital Kyiv, showed the bodies of civilians scattered in the road and in shallow graves — many with bound hands and signs of torture.
Some of them, from the wounds they had suffered, had been shot from close range.

Some of us just don’t believe anything that is being peddled by the media as a news story anymore. Look up “Katyn Massacre” to see how deliberate false reporting can be allowed to stand for decades as “fact” just because it supports a political narrative.
Not everything is about NATO and America and this invasion is the clear result of Russian imperialism, that never went away.

Many Ukrainians were sadly very naive and trusted Russian lies. Those who didn’t were slandered as warmongers.

Ukrainians have been killing their fellow countrymen for the past eight years.
Meanwhile, we’re supposed to accept that in Bucha, Russian troops massacred civilians during an orderly withdrawal, a crime that would have needlessly delayed them while serving no military purpose.
The same Russian troops who withheld their heaviest weapons in order to prevent civilian casualties, at their own tactical disadvantage.
The same Russian troops who have shipped huge amounts of food and medical aid to civilian areas under their control.
There is a contradiction between this story and the way Russia has conducted this war so far. And thought this entire war, journalistic verification tends to consist of nothing more than unnamed Ukrainian officials tweeting, “Trust me bro.”
And, oh yeah, photos shared by Ukrainian sources show Russian ration containers and white armbands on many of the victims, suggesting that some of the deceased were Russian collaborators. Doesn’t pass the smell test.
This is what happens when you very publicly turn your civilians into combatants.
Just the latest false flag. The Russians were gone days before. Look at the photos. They’re wearing white arm bands, not blue arm bands. ie those civilians were pro Russian, not pro Ukrainian. Their killers were the Azov Battalion Nazis - not the Russians.
The fact that it is Russia which immediately called for a UN investigation ought to tell everybody something.

You are 100% correct. There is a divide here on the FR that can never be bridged. They may not be in the majority around here, but they are definitely a significant minority. I have permanently lost respect for them (the Putin defenders) and view them with the same contempt as I do for any BLM or Antifa member. The images that came out yesterday rivaled any atrocity committed by ISIS yet there are those that refuse not only to condemn it but in offen cases deny that it actually happened.
There is a special place somewhere for these people.
