Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) on Tuesday continued her feud with tech giant Elon Musk.
Warren, who has called the Tesla founder and SpaceX CEO a “freeloader” because he did not pay taxes in 2018 nor 2020, argued on CNBC’s “Squawk Box” that Musk “didn’t make it on his own.” She noted Musk “got huge investments from the government” and “taxpayers.”

If I was POTUS (LOL) the first thing I’d do is ask these billionaires to help in any way they can. I think you’d be surprised what would happen.

Musk got a govt secured loan for Tesla.
Musk paid off the loan 9 years early.
Tesla has since been funded by 100% private money.
Musk is the largest taxpayer in the history of the USA, has created tens of thousands of jobs (that also pay taxes) and made America the world leader in electric vehicle manufacturing.
I’m not seeing a problem here. That loan guaranty was one of the best investments the government made in several decades. I guess they are so used to securing loans for their donors and lobbyists like Solyndra and Fisker, only for them to default (after 10% for the big guy) and leave taxpayers, investors and towns with the bill.
True, but he also fired a rocket into space and returned it for reuse, saving the government billions every year.

I used to call Musk a miner - he mines the public treasuries for the subsidies without which Tesla would have folded long ago.
And how much are the tax credits every buyer of a Tesla gets??? And how many would but a Tesla without them?
I have always wondered who got the money doled out for Solyndra. Someone got that money and did something with it. Some of it went to start up the solar panel company , but not all of it. Was some invested in another company, bought a yacht or mansion, gambled away? Where did the money go?
Show me any politician who did differently.
