Russia is facing a vegetable shortage due to abnormal heat. The harvest in the south of the country may decrease by 25%, in connection with this, seasonal products have already become more expensive, sharply outpacing inflation. The cost of beets has already increased by 52.8%. According to the head of the Obatat project, Anastasia Veishtort, in the next two to three months, sellers will not be able to offer buyers even such heat-loving crops as tomatoes and potatoes.
