Biden Finds A New Level Of Worthless
Townhall.com ^ | February 27, 2022 | Derek Hunter

Posted on 02/27/2022 4:43:10 AM PST by Kaslin

resident Joe Biden is absolutely committed to punishing Russian President Vladimir Putin for his aggression in Ukraine. You can’t turn on the TV without some clip of the silver haired, senile embodiment of Jeff Dunham’s puppet Walter insisting he’s willing to do whatever it takes to make the butcher of Moscow pay for his evil actions. In spirit, I agree with him. In spirit, Biden actually imposed sanctions that matter, that hurt. In reality, he didn’t do a damn thing.

Putin’s power comes from money, most of Putin’s money comes from oil and gas. It stands to reason that if you’re trying to punish him, hitting him in the wallet is the most effective way to do it. So why would our idiot President specifically exempt what is the best, most effective, and really only significant way to hurt Putin in way that might impact his behavior?

Honestly, there is no good answer. Aside from the “idiot” part, that is.

On Thursday, Joe Biden told the world, “As we respond, my administration is using the tools, every tool at the disposal to protect American families and businesses from rising prices at the gas pump. You know we’re taking active steps to bring down the cost, and American oil and gas company should not – should not – exploit this moment to hike their prices to raise profits. You know, in our sanctions package we specifically designed allow energy payments to continue. We are closely monitoring energy supplies for any disruption, we’ve been coordinating with major oil producing and consuming countries toward are common interest to secure global energy supplies. we are actively working with countries around the world to elevate collective release from the strategic petroleum reserves of major energy consuming countries. And the United States release additional barrels of oil as conditions warrant.”

I used such a long quote to give it compete context, so the sheer magnitude of Biden’s fecklessness is clear. He’s a wildly unpopular President, due in large part to his inflationary policies and spending. He’s attempting to look like a powerful, important leader of the free world, but knows polling has him less popular than a sharp stick in the eye. If gas prices go higher, he such little faith in the American people that he fears his numbers would go even lower.

While an uptick in gas prices wouldn’t be popular, Americans are able and willing to take a temporary hit for a good cause. Biden has no faith in us.

He has such little faith, as a matter of fact, that he’s letting a tyrant continue to sell that which helps keep him in power to avoid the risk of his poll numbers dropping even more.

“To be clear, our sanctions are not designed to cause any disruption to the current flow of energy from Russia to the world,” said Deputy National Security Advisor Daleep Singh Thursday. Then what is their point? It’s like giving a junkie all the heroin they want, but refusing to give them an aspirin because you’re afraid they might have a reaction to it.

How can an administration say two diametrically opposing things publicly and get away with it? They can do it because they don’t care – Biden’s priority is what it’s always been: Joe Biden. He’s never given a damn about anything but himself, his whole career.

How can he get away with it? Because who’s going to call him out on it, the press? That’s as likely as Putin apologizing for all the killing in Ukraine.

Of course, Putin would never apologize. And at this rate, Joe Biden would never even ask him to.

Given how the Biden administration is bending over backwards to protect Putin’s cash flow, you’d think Hunter was on his payroll. How else to explain that the Biden administration has explicitly excluded financial transactions “related to energy” from any impact from sanctions? The definition of “related to energy” the Treasuring Department put out can literally be interpreted to mean about 99 percent of all transactions anywhere. Read this and ask yourself what sanctions actually matter? You won’t find many.

You really do have to think Hunter is cashing checks directly from Putin at this point. It’s the only way to explain the disconnect between the rhetoric and the reality coming out of the President’s mouth. Stupidity and senility only go so far, this is so blatant that there has to be more to it. Joe Biden has always been worthless, he’s now taken that skill to a whole new level. And a lot of people are dying because of it.

You mean that there's something more worthless than completely and utterly worthless?

If Biden the dork had any brains he’d immediately reopen all drilling in the USA. We would quickly regain energy independence and become a net exporter.

The immediate massive drop in crude prices would force out in to take his toys and go home

As I recall, Russia needs $60 a barrel oil to remain solvent.

In other words, return to Trump policies and save lives.

Bingo.

Like most problems, Dems really don’t want to FIX things, they just want to surround the problem with more proposals, programs and people.....ie your tax dollars.

This is the benefit of having a non-politician as president. They actually want to fix problems. Trump is an asshole, but he actually was on his way to fixing many things. Strengthening the military, securing the boarder, great economy which worked for everyone, not just those at the top, tough on crime while compassionate on communities ravaged by crime, the list goes on and on.

The Democrats stumble forward toward the mid term elections. The COVID nonsense has faded and it’s becoming clear that it was mostly over-reaction to a flu variant and people might blame the dems for that. So, now they are hoping to be drawn into a conflict that will unite the voters behind them.

It’s just really that venal and dumb.

Gas was $3.95 per gallon in Cochise County, AZ on 2/26/2022
Same station was $1.97 on election day 2020.

If I say what I am thinking, the entire federal Gestapo & Stasi would descend on my house

When President Trump went to Mar A Lago, he was castigated. President Trump was besieged with the WH being bugged and did a complete renovation of many rooms which might have turned up the devices- anyone remember when he said they found ‘gold’ behind the walls?

He worked the entire time he was there and to contrast it with Biden heading to their home in Delaware while a war is going on with a country he and his son took money from is just mind boggling.

Not one bad word from the democrats about Biden but they sure dragged President Trump through the mud about leaving to WH to WORK.

All you need to know is that there was a coronavirus death count at the bottom of every single news station and many shows on tv 24/7 when President Trump was in office that ENDED and was removed from the screen when Biden was installed.

More people have died under Biden from coronavirus in a shorter time but not one f-ing word about that.

To his credit Biden did try to adjust the podium for his scotus pick yesterday during the announcement ceremony.

Right before he left the podium he stooped down and try to make us some final adjustment and then he just kind of got up and shuffled off after one of the stage grips took over...

Trump is not an a-hole but he is a successful businessman.

There is a tiny bit of difference.

You are exactly right. Biden should do everything in his power to enable oil drilling and production in the US until we are the number 1 exporter of oil and gas, and prices come down to Trump levels. Then stop buying oil from Russia and Iran. Tell NATO to go jump in the lake.

"Trump is an asshole, but he actually was on his way to fixing many things"

I suspect a lot of Biden supporters are suffering "buyers remorse" right not. I cannot think of a single Biden policy that has actually benefited the US. ALL, EVERY ONE has been detrimental.

This approach makes perfect sense to do, but to do it would mean Biden admitting he’s been wrong. That’s about as likely to happen as Putin admitting HE’s been wrong. However if Biden DID open up drilling again he might regain some in the next popularity poll. I think this all means that he wants to continue to appeal to the current crop of liberals that seem determined to control his current train of illogical thought. It’s not hard to figure out what it would mean to our nation if oil drilling was opened back up to what it was before he managed to screw everything up.

Wrong. It was a planned, deliberate LIE, from day one.

Putin only invades when oil prices peak. So we allowed this by crippling our energy production.
