I’ll let DesertRhino speak for themselves, but I also speculated that Biden is ready to give up Eastern Ukraine to Putin, but needs to scare Americans into believing it wasn’t pure appeasement, blackmail, etc.

If I wasn’t so cynical, I’d say Biden wants to be a wartime President so all his failures thus far are swept under the carpet.

Just sayin’.

That bastard Biden is going to get us into WW3.
Who is REALLY in control of the nuclear football?
No easier way to turn this into a police state than putting us under the threat of war, is THIS what he really means by “ Build Back Better”?
Geez.

True enough, but government funded evacuation brings other benefits to the families to cover their expenses while away from post. My family was evacuated twice during my career. These evacuations can be prolonged and expensive.

The neocons have wanted war with Russia for years. With Hillary they would have gotten it. Looks like with Bidden they might just get the war they are drueling (sp) over.

I don’t know if I agree.

We’ll see soon enough, it does not seem so to me.

They did evacuate non-essential personnel from the Embassy. Afghanistan was an unaccompanied post meaning families were not allowed at post.

I wonder how many are going to die this year because of another Deep State intentional murderous scheme?

1. There are no Russian troops at the Ukrainian border because the maneuvers are taking place in Yelnya, which is closer to Moscow than to a Western border.

2. Putin, Lavrov, Russian military leaders have multiple times stated that Russia is not going to invade, nor they need to give the West any pretext to impose new sanctions with the NS2 pipeline certification pending.

3. Ukraine is hanging on ropes with the regime’s ratings hitting new lows every day. They have 9 million starving according to UNESCO right now.

Who and why needs to invade this country? To what ends?

So what have Americans in the Ukraine got that the ones in Afghanistan didn’t? I am starting to question Brandon’s judgment!

Listen to the Russian statements. It doesn’t want Eastern Ukraine, but for Ukraine to federalize and give the East voting rights revoked by Kiev coup in 2014. Donbas voted to join Russia 8 years ago, Russia refused to accept it. If it wanted to it could have it along with Crimea years ago.
Everything you hear in media about this conflict is a lie.

Another “most successful evacuation, I mean retreat, ever” by our esteemed CIC.

This is what he should have done in Afghanistan. This is like a "I know how to do this when our people are in danger".

Too bad he didn't think of it before 13 of our soldiers got killed.

What a friggin' phony. Putin is laughing his a** off.

This is all being carefully orchestrated, unlike Afghanistan. Putin is not going kill diplomats or their families.

This is a dumb move. It says to Putin we are removing any last American “tripwire” we might have that could give Putin cause to not attack Ukraine.

We should do the opposite. We should announce we are offering Ukraine American state department and military observers to witness 1st hand anything happening on Ukraine’s borders.

“9 million starving”? Caught my attention given that Ukraine is second only to the United States in grain exports. UNESCO is not to be trusted.

At least some people in Russia's Parliament are talking like they're ready to accept their independence now.

Russian-backed separatists in east Ukraine would expect Russia's army to fight with them against Ukrainian government forces if Moscow follows through on a parliamentary proposal to recognise their independence, a pro-Kremlin lawmaker said on Thursday.

Alexander Borodai made the comment after 11 lawmakers proposed that parliament ask President Vladimir Putin to recognise the independence of the breakaway Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
