A Texas SWAT team responded Saturday afternoon to a hostage situation at a synagogue near Dallas.
The Colleyville Police Department said on Twitter that they are conducting SWAT operations "around the 6100 block of Pleasant Run Rd."
All residents in the immediate area of the incident are being evacuated, according to the tweet.

Tlaib, a Palestinian American, spoke via videoconference to the Democratic Socialists of America’s national convention on Tuesday, criticizing a structure “designed by those that exploit the rest of us for their own profit.
Whether in her home state of Michigan or in the Gaza Strip, she said, “if you open the curtain and look behind the curtain, it’s the same people that make money and, yes they do, off of racism, off of these broken policies. There is someone there making money.

No, the hostage taker is actually a male and he was the brother of the terrorist, demanding the release of his sister (the terrorist). I think the writer was just keyboarding or dictating too fast!

Reporter is a moron. Until the brother is proved to be a fool, I (and I hope law enforcement) is dealing with high level, sophisticated terrorists. Freeing a prominent terrorist from prison in the US, with a husband at GITMO, can't assume this is just a aberrant brother. The family in Pakistan is both prominent, and close to the upper levels of al Qaida.
Hopefully a peaceful conclusion, which will allow them to ignore the threat staring us in the face. He’ll just be a misguided fellow trying to help his sister. Unjustly imprisoned. That's pretty much what Aafia said at her trial. That she was being tried by Israel, fired her Jewish lawyers, whether actually Jewish or not. And blamed the verdict on Israel. She and Rashida have the same mindset. One in prison, one in Congress.
Reports indicate the hostage-taker is the brother of Aafia Siddiqui.
Siddiqui is serving an 86-year sentence for attempting to kill U.S. military personnel.
She was previously married to the nephew of 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed.

Oh God, the FBI is utterly incompetent. FBI swat is a joke compared to about almost any DFW local swat team. Too bad for those hostages.
