The Oakland County Fugitive Apprehension Team is currently searching for the parents of Ethan Crumbley, the Michigan teen who killed four people on Tuesday and injured another seven when he shot up Oxford High School, according to the Detroit News.

Jennifer and Jason Crumbley were charged with four counts each of involuntary manslaughter on Friday, a rare move by prosecutors who said the parents failed to secure their guns and didn’t respond to their son’s distressing behavior.

The Detroit News reported that despite previously promising to show up if a warrant was put out for their arrest, the couple is not responding to messages from their attorney and can’t be found.

True. The kid would have been shot dead by cops immediately at school.

The Crumbleys visited Brian Laundrie's parents and borrowed their camper van. Last I heard the Crumbleys were driving it down the Appalachian Trail.

Facing 4 possible long-term nonconsecutive prison terms each. If they were relatively affluent and were smart enough to keep liquidity and or offshore assets. It’s not that stupid to go to a non extradition country and just walk from everything. Russia would be my first choice. Fellow whites so to blend in, Russian was my foreign language in University. Hot girls everywhere. Three year nonwork visa is easy to get renewable and after two renewals perm res is an option. Culturally they are western world. Russia won’t lift a finger to help a US investigation and they will tell the irs to pound sand as well. If you have a marketable skill say geology you can get sponsorship for a work visa easy peasy. Did I mention they habe some of the hottest women on earth. St Petersburg and Moscow world class cities loaded with culture, night life and food. Diamonds are easy to move through airports no metal like gold and refuse the body scanner make them wand you or metal detector arch. A million in stones would fit in a tampon sized container just saying. 3+ carat E grade or higher a million plus fits in your palm. If you have the means everyone should have a oh crap I need to bug out plan. Liquidity, predefined contact means with one time ciphers that are unbreakable. Diamonds or some other portable wealth means.

Not condoning their reckless action with the son but if you have nothing to lose why stat just to get thrown in the slam for what so other’s feel they have justice F that you have to catch em first.

“Jennifer and Jason Crumbley were charged with four counts each of involuntary manslaughter on Friday, a rare move by prosecutors who said the parents failed to secure their guns and didn’t respond to their son’s distressing behavior. “

Ludicrous!

There is no law in MI that requires guns to be locked up. And there’s been no information made public that the parents knew their kid was a threat.

It’s an unfounded political prosecution.

They gotta be some kind of stupid to think they can run from a manslaughter charge.

On Todd Starnes’ radio show he said the parents did not lock up the pistol and that it had been given to the kid. There were a lot of strange texts from the kid to his mom about buying ammunition, the kid drawing a picture of a gun and talking about being obsessed with shooting people, etc.

This is a really strange story and the parents did act in very bizarre way.

Saw this in fox article:

On Thursday, an attorney for the Crumbleys told authorities that "they were going to turn themselves in."

"The attorney said she would make that happen this morning," Bouchard said.

What it does NOT say is "the lawyer said they informed the parents of the charges and the parents replied that they would turn themselves in".

So does that mean the lawyer actually informed the parents of the charges and the parents responded that they would turn themselves in OR did the lawyer just talk out of their ass when the AG first called?

Sorry, I just don't trust the press when it comes to reporting these logistical fine points. Need more info such as are the siblings gone too?

Nevertheless, if they are running, incredibly f'ing stupid.

The prosecutor alleges that the parents were told about the problems and threats in the days leading up to the shooting - including a meeting that day.

IF that’s true (and I’m not sure it is given all the prosecutorial misconduct going around) then the parents gave him a gun in the midst of that and that IS culpability.

The dad said he did not give the kid the gun.

It was stolen from his dresser.

Additionally, the perceived threat could not have been that great or the school would not let him back in class.

I’m calling BS.
