New symptomless Covid strain 'more infectious than Delta' being investigated

Scientists are investigating a newly detected strain of Covid-19, which is being being described as being more infectious than the Delta variant of the virus.

The name of the new variant is called AY.4.2, and officials have subsequently classified it is a "variant under investigation".

People who become infected with the new Covid-19 strain are less likely to display symptoms in comparison to other variants such as Delta, scientists have said.

What to do? How will a modern, science-based people respond to such an enigmatic threat?

I suppose, since there is no way you know you have it unless your are tested, that everyone (vaxed, unvaxed, half vaxed, formerly vaxed unboosted) must quarantine until tested.

How long is a test good for? Well, just for that moment, 5 minutes after you walk away from the test, you could become infected with the symptomless variant.
