They (strangely) yesterday asked for a dismissal without prejudice (verbal motion in court) yesterday.

Yesterday was the only time I heard them ask.

In court yes but they wrote a motion Monday .. the judge hadn’t even read it yet until mid day yesterday

Like others posting here, the fact that the jury didn’t immediately come back with an acquittal leaves me feeling less than optimistic.

My hope is that they didn’t want it to appear that they weren’t thoroughly debating the merits of the case before finding him not guilty.
