Up to 50m people could be affected by back-to-back bomb cyclones that will release rain, snow and powerful winds across most of the country from California to New York

Damaging winds, hail, isolated tornados, and floods are threating to impact more than 50 million people from California to New York over the weekend and early into next week.

The back-to-back bomb cyclones are forecasted to create atmospheric rivers. Atmospheric rivers are long narrow regions of moisture in the atmosphere 'like rivers in the sky' that release rain or snow to the earth, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

A storm is considered a bomb cyclone when its minimum air pressure drops 24 millibars or more within 24 hours; this next storm could decrease by 50 millibars potentially becoming a 'double bomb.'

Those terms are descriptive.

The NWS is not creating them to foster hysteria. That’s the MSM which does that.

The NWS and meteorologists forecast the weather. They do not sensationalize it.

Doesn’t look like we’ll get anything in southern Arizona. Cooler for a day or two, then back to 80s and low 90s, no rain forecast in the next 10 days.

They’ll get pulverized by an artillery like pounding rain, severely impacting everything it touches, bomb cyclones are coming with intermittent grenade bursts over some regions, and fully automatic hail shrapnel is expected to strafe other areas.

Maybe this storm will help to refill some of the lakes and water storage facilities which have been running dry?

The US has experienced a barrage of extreme weather this year as the effects of climate change are becoming increasingly visible.

The US intelligence community is sending a unanimous warning about the growing risk that climate change is posing to national security and global stability, a chilling report revealed on Thursday.

No, it’s not a typical late October scenario.

The forecast is for three inches of rain in three days.

Three inches is almost an entire months worth of rain here in the northeast.

This forecast is for “from California to New York.”

You’re talking about anomalous weather in one small part of that forecast. Temps and precip are going to be entirely seasonal here in Colorado.
