Turley says Ron Klain's vaccine retweet is legal issue for Biden: 'Breathtakingly daft'
Fox News ^ | September 10, 2021 | Emma Colton

Posted on 09/10/2021 10:29:31 AM PDT by jazusamo

Constitutional scholar Jonathan Turley called White House chief of staff Ron Klain’s recent retweet appearing to praise the Biden administration for executing the "ultimate work-around" for President Biden’s recent vaccine mandate "breathtakingly daft."

"The retweet was breathtakingly daft on the eve of litigation over the order. It is reminiscent of President Biden admitting that his own White House counsel and their preferred legal experts all said that the eviction moratorium extension was likely unconstitutional," Turley told Fox News on Friday.

"Courts will now be asked to ignore the admission and uphold a self-admitted evasion of constitutional limits," Turley added. The "problem is that the thing being ‘worked around’ is the Constitution."

Turley’s comment came in response to Klain retweeting MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle on Thursday, who tweeted: "OSHA doing this vaxx mandate as an emergency workplace safety rule is the ultimate work-around for the Federal govt to require vaccinations."

"Klain effectively became a witness for the challengers in labeling the order an evasion or subterfuge designed for the courts. Klain leaves the courts in the unenviable position of ratifying an order that the Administration admits is a mere work around to evade constitutional limits. It is akin to claiming self-defense in an assault case while saying that it was the best way to shoot the guy," Turley said.

Klain’s retweet came after President Biden announced a sweeping mandate requiring private employers with more than 100 employees to be vaccinated or submit to weekly testing. The mandate affects about 80 million Americans.

You just have to keep the faith. Stand on what your conscience tells you is right, and trust that the Lord will provide.

Every Republican Governor in America was just given the ammo they need to file for an EMERGENCY injunction via the US Supreme Court, to block Fuhrer Biden's "mandate."

Biden's own Chief of Staff gave us the ammo. Load the gun, point, shoot!!!

Bump to your post.

I am mandated, too, and will lose my job for refusing.
If this isn’t the hill to die on there isn’t one.

I completely trust my Father. His will be done on earth as in heaven.
Keep the faith.
We are all short term here anyway.

Define lose. They’d hold the cities and natural resources without much of a fight. The rest could remain a “danger zone”, and justify continued repressive measures.

ClearCase_guy :" More and more, I think we see this administration making an effort to rub our noses in it.
They do the wrong thing. They say the wrong thing.
They explain to us that they are saying the wrong thing because it helps them to do the wrong thing.
It’s completely “in your face”.

Quite true !
If you believe and accept that Slo Joe is an empty vessel
who surrounds himself with Obama's former staff
you are missing the obvious.
This is, in reality, Obama's third term .

My middle son and his girlfriend both have CDLs and have done lots of driving. Both tired of it. My son is also a real estate broker, so he can put food on the table without driving.

In recent days, there has been a threat to require CDL drivers to have a vaxx to be permitted to work. Add the stupid "vaxx required for interstate travel" suggestion and the CDL ceases looking like a viable fallback.

I have 32 years and fully understand. I went into a huge depression when Bill Clinton and all those horrible women were elected in 1992. I moped for weeks. I had just achieved my three year sober anniversary. It passes. And the plan with your Higher Power marches on.

My sponsor, the man who raised me from a pup, was murdered on my wedding anniversary in 2001. That was three months after my father died of lung cancer. It was torture, but I never wanted to drink. My sponsor used to say, “If I have a problem and I take a drink, I now have two problems, and one of them may be permanent.” God bless.

‘I’ll never be employed again. Everything about my life will slide off. That’s depressing as hell.”

You could work for yourself. At the age of 26, with a few hundreds bucks in hand, I decided that was the way to go. Boy was it ever the way to go.

Why won’t your employer allow weekly testing?

Hang in there dude! I and my wife will be terminated more than likely. Yesterday morning I received an email from my employers saying there would be no mandates and SFB’s screwed that up. We are in our 50’s and I am in my late 50’s and will more than likely retire and use my 401 to pay off the remainder of our mortgage and a couple of other debts and then seek employment at more than likely a lesser rate of pay but with debts gone we should be fine.

I had a long time liberal friend in my office today and we have butted heads before but remained friends and start up about covid and he flat out told me he “wasn’t listening to my side of the sh*t” and tried to lecture me to which he was told NO, your not going to tell me your not listening to my sh*t and then lecture me, enough! He tried again and I said I’m done being nice about this I don’t want to hear it in a raised voice! At which he stepped out of my office, started to stick his head in again and I said no don’t go there, listening is two ways or no way. He was taken aback and realized he crossed a line. He apologized profusely and I accepted it but he realized he’s stepped in it with me. He got back to his office and sent two emails apologizing again. My patience is gone with the provaxers and the progressives, they both behave the same way and I’m madder than hell and I’m not going to take it anymore.

Biden is going to try to make receipt of social security and medicare benefits contingent on being vaxxed. No vaxx, no benefits.

Are you assuming that will be a next step? If so, I agree with you and have thought the same. I'm just wondering if you have read something from the administration or SSA/medicare regarding this. Thanks.

I can retire now from the workforce if I want but that will mean the rest of my life reading library books and eating canned beans. Good luck to you.

So are you going to get the vax?

Just wondering.

Not worth much to your bank account, but you seriously have my utmost respect.

From reading your posts over time, you’re a measured, responsible person with a mo-longer existent work eethic.

That cannot be easy for you. It’ll be bad for your employer too.

Thanks! It was radio silence from corporate HQ today on this. They are probably consulting our legal team on how to move forward. Up to now, they've been of the position that vaccinations are our own business but they are in a tough spot, as much of our business is government/military.

If their hand is forced, they may have no choice but to let me go as there are many millions of dollars at stake with these contracts. Probably about 30-40% of our total business.

I'm hoping I can slide by with the weekly testing. I don't mind taking the tests but definitely do not want this shot.

Library will be for vaxxed only. Some kid opted out of live college classes and was informed that he had to be vaccinated to attend online classes from his ho e as well.

It follows there rule of “Do Until the Courts Undo”(DICU) Lawfare philosophy.

It should stand less than a day.
