Turley says Ron Klain's vaccine retweet is legal issue for Biden: 'Breathtakingly daft'
Fox News ^ | September 10, 2021 | Emma Colton

Posted on 09/10/2021 10:29:31 AM PDT by jazusamo

Constitutional scholar Jonathan Turley called White House chief of staff Ron Klain’s recent retweet appearing to praise the Biden administration for executing the "ultimate work-around" for President Biden’s recent vaccine mandate "breathtakingly daft."

"The retweet was breathtakingly daft on the eve of litigation over the order. It is reminiscent of President Biden admitting that his own White House counsel and their preferred legal experts all said that the eviction moratorium extension was likely unconstitutional," Turley told Fox News on Friday.

"Courts will now be asked to ignore the admission and uphold a self-admitted evasion of constitutional limits," Turley added. The "problem is that the thing being ‘worked around’ is the Constitution."

Turley’s comment came in response to Klain retweeting MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle on Thursday, who tweeted: "OSHA doing this vaxx mandate as an emergency workplace safety rule is the ultimate work-around for the Federal govt to require vaccinations."

"Klain effectively became a witness for the challengers in labeling the order an evasion or subterfuge designed for the courts. Klain leaves the courts in the unenviable position of ratifying an order that the Administration admits is a mere work around to evade constitutional limits. It is akin to claiming self-defense in an assault case while saying that it was the best way to shoot the guy," Turley said.

Klain’s retweet came after President Biden announced a sweeping mandate requiring private employers with more than 100 employees to be vaccinated or submit to weekly testing. The mandate affects about 80 million Americans.

Absolutely. China and the UN would both come over and help pacify the population, if asked.

(And I still think they would lose.)

another impeachable offense.

My employer WILL fire me for not being vaccinated. I have zero doubt about that. The problem is that if every other organization out there abides, I’ll never be employed again. Everything about my life will slide off. That’s depressing as hell.

I'm in the same situation except I have agreed to get tested. Not sure if they will find that acceptable. But the company is between a rock and a hard place as we have many federal/military contracts.

35 years in my company without a sick day (seriously, I never call in sick) and with excellent to outstanding annual performance reviews throughout and I stand to lose my job over a shot of experimental "vaccine".

Nobody is irreplaceable but my company is sure to miss me if I go away suddenly. I was planning to retire in 5-7 years and groom a successor (I'm in an executive position).

If enough of us stand up to the tyranny and force ourselves to get fired, I'm thinking that's the only way we can prevail. Corporations will realize that if they are to keep their top talent, they need to resist as well. If we meekly submit to the shots in order to keep our jobs, I'm afraid this is only the beginning of our enslavement.

I can retire now from the workforce if I want but that will mean the rest of my life reading library books and eating canned beans. Good luck to you.

Hanlon’s Razor is reversed when it comes to the left. One does not necessarily need a high IQ to be malicious.

I run a small company and I'm thinking I can probably work around any of these stupid mandates.

If I can't, I'm ready to close my doors and find something else to do. I'm not really in a position to retire, but I have no qualms about working as a landscaper or driving a truck for a living.

Don”t fall off the wagon. Stay strong. Even if you do get fired you will be in hot demand in maybe as little as one year from now.

What is unenviable of a judge making a sound decision based on this admitted fraud?

Ruling against fraud should be simple and unabashed.

Hang in there brother!

If that occurs, PM me and I can try to help you get gigs.

I’ve been doing contracts for jobs and some have been very lucrative. Covid rules won’t change that; rather, even make it better.

Anyone have a link to the tweet? I’d love to grab a snapshot of it. I didn’t see the link in this thread. TIA.

I’m 5 years sober and have never been so dangerously close to falling off the wagon as I am right now. My employer WILL fire me for not being vaccinated. I have zero doubt about that. The problem is that if every other organization out there abides, I’ll never be employed again. Everything about my life will slide off. That’s depressing as hell.

Lean on me. This will not stand nor will it last. Biden's handlers blew it BIG TIME yesterday and the blowback is just getting started. Hang on. We win in the end.

More and more, I think we see this administration making an effort to rub our noses in it. They do the wrong thing. They say the wrong thing. They explain to us that they are saying the wrong thing because it helps them to do the wrong thing. It’s completely “in your face”.

I agree. It’s the 0bama “in yo’ face” school of thug politics.

You need to hang in there. We need you. One of the things I have learned over the years is nothing, except God, last’s forever. This is an obscene time we are going through but the foundations are strong. We will come out of this......together.

Retirement is an option for me...not one I want, but better retired alive then jabbed and dead or disabled. There is another wrinkle lurking. Biden is going to try to make receipt of social security and medicare benefits contingent on being vaxxed. No vaxx, no benefits. Have retired, no medical insurance from the employer, no medicare is a tough spot.
