“The federal government needs to stop trying to run private businesses,” Abbott spokesperson Renae Eze said in a statement. “Texans and Americans alike have learned and mastered the safe practices to protect themselves and their loved ones from COVID, and do not need the government to tell them how to do so.”

Of course I do, and I can tell you why the CDC changed the definition of vaccine. They have dropped the word immunity just days ago.

Jacobson vs Mass 1905 was specifically about smallpox inoculation which did exist at the time. The first use of the smallpox inoculation was in the early 1800s having been discovered in 1796 that cowpox infection conferred immunity at 95% to it’s closely related smallpox cousin. By the 1800s people had been growing cowpox on purpose in cattle to then inoculate people with it thus creating the world’s first vaccination with live virus.

These injections are not vaccinations. IF they were effective it would be different.

The whole situation is different from smallpox.

These things are NOT VACCINES like smallpox vaccine. At best the shots are a theraputic.

Corona viruses mutate. That is what they do. This is an example of the government not missing a chance to exploit a crisis and it isn’t even a crisis. The idiots overreacted because a manmade virus got loose and scared the crap out of the idiots backing the research. If it were as bad as they said we would be much more dead.

The mortality rate is within normal (year over year...if you look at raw numbers remember baby boom generation is getting old enough to die of old age).

The government cannot back down because people are bought into the fantasy. I really hoped the vaccine would help people get normal and the media cannot stop their fear porn. The government wants more power and doesn’t want you thinking about the election, Afghanistan, energy, crime, or anything real.

The numbers for the “pandemic” media talk about are without any context. NEVER has so many people been tested for corona virus, what we see is probably completely NORMAL there isn’t anything to compare it to!

RE: The option for weekly testing is key that is the fair alternative to taking the vaccine

Ok, next question... WHO PAYS for the testing? Will it be federally subsidized like the vaccine, or will employees have to pay? How much will it cost and is it covered by health insurance?

The small pox vaccine is core to what we know vaccines to be, how they work, and the benefits in real disease prevention that they perform. The Covid shot is closer to a treatment than a genuine vaccine, IMHO.

When that particular law was established, the efficacy of the smallpox vaccine was well-understood. The Covid-19 doesn’t enjoy the decades of understanding that the smallpox vaccine does. IOW, the benefits of a smallpox vaccine are obvious and understandable (at least) why elected authorities would mandate it against unvaccinated resisters. Again, the Covid shot doesn’t have that track record.

Ordering taxpayers to be Big Pharma’s conscripted and unpaid guinea pigs for a virus that is not the threat that smallpox or the Spanish flu was has to be in violation of some established law.

I wish Abbott would simply announce Texas is leaving the U.S.

I never said you cannot be in a union in a right to work state read what I posted again then comprehend. In a right to work state unions are not the default nor is preemployment contracts. A employer do not have to hire union employees either. Right to work states are about freedom and that freedom has costs sometimes. I own / partner in three LLC based endeavors I don’t hire union trades workers that’s my right. Have I used some contractors who did have union guys sure always as subs.

There was at least a vaccine for smallpox. It’s the model for what we understand vaccines to be.

Using live culture in small doses or dead culture pathogens to produce vaccines has been the norm and has worked well for us. That's not what this Covid genetic therapy hot mess is though.

All the tests I have taken have been federally or state funded. From the press release it seems the feds are partnering with CVS, Walgreens, Wal-Mart to do the testing in mass. So that would be the answer you seek currently.

You stated clearly that employees can fire you pretty much without cause, and I dispute that statement. I've been through an EEOC audit from a complaint. I've had to document theft charges to the Attorney General and I've had to respond to dozens of unemployment questionnaires. I guarantee you employees want to make sure they have cause they can document.

Weekly testing is Russian Roulette IMO. I know people who’ve had nosebleeds after getting test sticks shoved up their noses — and wouldn’t go through it again, even for a paycheck.

The first Chinese vaccine sinovac was a inactivated whole covid virus based vaccine. It apparently is less than 50% effective in its original dead virus form. So that route was taken right off the bat with the chicoms. The Russians tried the same route and gave up as before doing much human trials they too saw that a dead virus version is too weak to cause the same kind of immunity reaction that cowpox did for smallpox.

The death rate for smallpox was about 30%, so that might lend some validity to the argument for a mandated vaccine. The China virus doesn’t even come close to that.

Well, if the unvaccinated do not have to pay for the testing, that would be a reasonable compromise.

I was afraid it would cost people hundreds of dollars a week just to get tested.

If he does have the power to tell a private business about vaccines, does that power stop at 99 employees or less? Clearly he doesn’t have the power but why did he choose a hundred employees or more?

I am sure if you opt for the weekly testing it’ll be coming out of your pocket.
