It looks like they cut it so it could be transported. That’s my take seeing flatbed truck they are loading it on.

Just thought of something.
They can now make the Confederate statues wildly popular again. Use them all in the magician-cutting-the-statue-in-half Las Vegas magic shows. Bigger draw than Wayne Newton or the Blue Man Group.
