How to Stop Global Warming: Misery or Death
American Thinker.com ^ | July 1, 2021 | Jeffrey Folks

By 2050, there will be nearly ten billion human beings on the planet.

Each of these humans will, just via flatulence, produce a good deal of gaseous emissions. These emissions are the source of CO2 and methane, as well as frequent embarrassment. But if we consider the requirements to live a comfortable existence — the house, car, utilities, food, travel, and other services, each with its own carbon footprint — those nearly 10 billion will place an major burden on the earth. Just the livestock that human beings raise emit 37% of non-natural methane emissions, 23 times more damaging than all the CO2 from cars. From an environmental perspective, 10 billion humans is an unacceptable number.

There are two solutions. One is to drastically reduce the carbon footprint of every human being on the planet. This could be accomplished by mandating E.V.s, or no car at all, and by using taxes and zoning to force humans into smaller, more efficient apartments and eliminate suburban dwellings. But housing and transportation would not be enough. It would be necessary to slash electricity and other utility usage, since power plants are the largest source of man-made greenhouse gas emissions, and to outlaw animal products such as meat, eggs, and dairy. It might also be necessary to limit travel and restrict land use so as to return land to a state of nature.

All of these "solutions" have been proposed, and in many places implemented, but alone they would not reduce carbon emissions to zero. Indeed, they would not reduce emissions to any perceptible extent, since humans would go on requiring food, shelter, heat, air-conditioning, electricity, and other services that produce emissions. If you believe that carbon poses an existential threat to life on Earth, you must consider option #2.

Even if we could stop global warming we shouldn’t. We’ll be lucky if the planet warms up as much as it did the last time during the medieval warm period.

Option #2 will never succeed
Humans love freedom and have the instinct to survive.

China’s one child policy. Did the government stop citizens from having more than one child?
No.
The extra children were simply not registered. They “officialy” do not exist.

The government takes advantage of that reality. The unregistered, when found out, are deployed as slaves much as the Wygers.

2nd amendment is needed to protect yourself from the gubmint

When I was younger, we would hear the communists lecture us on cutting the rain forest because the “cure for cancer” might be found there.

But those communists are fine with cutting the population even though one of those aborted babies or euthanized elderly might discover the “cure for cancer”.

This is certain PROOF that the communists do not want to fix anything and these “dangers” are fabrications to increase their power and wealth.

The only redistribution that communists believe in is redistribution of power and wealth to the communists.

Last I heard, humans were mammals. Mammals have the distinction of being able to adjust to their environment and not only humans, but numerous other species can be found in almost every climate. Global warming, even if it is man-made, is a joke just for this reason. They talk in terms of 1-3 degree differences over 20-100 years as being catastrophic. Maybe this is true for other species like frogs, salamanders, turtles, or alligators. Not so much for mankind. In fact, higher CO2 content in the atmosphere will result in greater plant growth, and higher temperatures will result in more ground that can support crops. These are all wins for mankind. Rising sea levels? The only areas really impacted by this are areas that need biblical floods to rid the species of the ultimately stupid (New York, DC, etc.), so yet another win.

These social engineers are going to have to control volcanoes. They’ll try to convince the masses that they’re capable and a lot of stoopid people will eat it up. This planet is to big to try to control weather and other natural processes. If these dedicated idiots want to save the planet then they should off themselves.

1. When the current Grand Solar Minimum peaks (producing another mini ice age as happened centuries ago), the shivering proggies and Millennials will be begging for fuel and praying for global warming.

2. Bill Gates pushed hard for population reduction, before he switched to pushing hard for vaccines.

How is it that the only ones pushing population control are WHITE? Systemic racism? When it comes to environmentalism there’s more diversity at the all White beach club Sen Whitehouse belongs to

If you believe that carbon poses an existential threat to life on Earth

Then you are too stupid to have a voice in public policy.

Where in the world are the population increases occurring? It seems that population in Western nations ihas been on the decline but for the importation of third-worlders.

These emissions are the source of CO2 and methane

The lie starts in the first line, and everything else is suspect because they start with that lie. Although the author does bring it around to the truth later in the article, the first part can set a reader off by that simple untruth, buying into the lie told by the environmentalists.

Flatulence isn't THE source of CO2 and Methane, it is one of countless producers of CO2 and methane, and actually a very small producer compare to many others.

Their solution is to drastically limit other peoples rights and freedoms, to abort babies, to provide euthanasia for all, so that they, the elites, can continue to have the same lifestyle they have now, but not feel guilty about it. They only want that THEIR lives not be disrupted, and they believe that in doing these other things, they will be exempt. Just like every Jew who supported Hitler or Stalin, they miss who the real elites are.

How about we build some practical power generation. I dunno say like nuclear, hydro, and natural gas. Instead of tearing out dams maybe we could look to the new turbine technologies to better utilize the power of falling water. New nuclear technologies that provide much safer uranium based reactors and put a national effort into thorium technology which will solve most spent fuel issues.

But no we’ll just let the commies corral us into stacked highrise slums and concentration camps with ovens while they live high on the hog. American thinker obviously doesn’t.

Only if it cools. More warmth is nearly universally good for all creatures and plants. The heat of summer is never an issue for amphibians, only winter cold.

Or, we could just build more nukes, for which the above is NOT true.

The presence of 10 billion or 15 billion human beings on the planet in 2050 will be not a threat, but a blessing. Each of these persons is divinely created and has the potential to make a contribution to other human beings and to the well-being of the Earth.

Sounds very salutary...There is, however, a gulf between potentially and actually making contributions to humanity's etc. well-being. Many humans do not appear to be interested in government that fosters the human traits essential to making positive contributions.

CO2 impact levels off at 400ppm, today’s value. Even if you accept the theory that it can warm the planet, it can do no more. Methane will probably act the same way. No “climatologist” will look at history or even discuss it ‘cause that reveals the lie.
