Yah, F U. Don’t compromise with evil. Gun control programs are already too complex and meaningless. Ca has had the most stringent laws for decades and we still have nutters shooting about. In balance, the FBI tallies hundreds of thousands of annual incidents wherein a gun is brandished/used to stop and/or minimize a violent situation. An armed society is a more polite one. Needs fewer police. Needs fewer privately-paid armed guards. And, after a modest amount of growing-in time, would have fewer gun wielding thugs doing drive bys. Imagine a Granny on the front porch guarding her grandchildren playing on the front lawn. Along comes a gang-banger car stocked with punks. Granny stands up and walks down the sidewalk with her double-barreled loaded with salt.
As the 2022 election, and the paramount 2024, and the closeness of the vote totals as displayed whether right or wrong, are rapidly moving into reality, there will be another effort by the socialists to create atmospheres of workability and joining to do nothing but try to secure another 4 to 6 years of their efforts to over rule the people and take control of the country while tossing it away to the world. They have been so busy trying to gain back control and clean up the messes they have made that they have no other way of doing it that to throw the GOP a bone or two.
Then when they get the votes they need, they will take the bone away or substitute a smaller one just enough to keep the voters stuck with no where to go. And when they have totally reverted the country back into a weakened pandering little place like right after our revolution, they will bail somewhere else as they will realize they have completed what they completed and they can’t live in it either. California and New York are the examples of the beginnings with Texas and Florida being the ending results.
And you’ll notice the receiving states are red, until they can change them, since no blue states will survive on their style of living. And they can’t understand that this is just how history has portrayed their system. It always fails. But they continue to do it even though it can’t work, and never will until they drain the country of honest and workable people. Again, see California and New York as they implode.

You’re right on all 3. Sending the military to guard DC was totally unnecessary. DC has a huge police force.
A gun control law has NEVER stopped a criminal from having a gun.
Every compromise with democrats is another loss of freedom.
They never stop - they just keep chipping away at the constitution and erode it incrementally.
If they can’t get everything today they take what they can get knowing that republicans will give them a little bit more the next time, and the next and the next...
Any compromise foolish republicans agree with is just the new starting point for the next round of demands from democrats.

Yes. They are trying to disarm the law abiding but will never try to disarm MS-13 or inner city gangs.
