Rumors that China's top "spy catcher" has defected to the United States and is giving the Biden information about the Wuhan Institute of Virology and the leak of the coronavirus, if proven true, could "even lead to the fall of the Communist Party," China expert Gordon Chang told Newsmax on Saturday.
"This is so explosive it could lead to a chain of events, which would sever relations between China and the United States," Chang, the author of "The Coming Collapse of China," told Newsmax's "The Count," adding Bejing appears to be in a panic over the reports.
The reports claim Chinese official Dong Jingwei, a vice-minister who took over responsibility for the country's counter-intelligence three years ago, reportedly flew from Hong Kong to the United States in February with his daughter, reports South Asia news service ANI quoting SpyTalk, a newsletter covering U.S. intelligence, defense, and foreign affairs policy.
There has been no official comment from China, but according to SpyTalk, Dong reportedly gave the Biden administration information that caused it to change its stance on the Wuhan laboratory and to reconsider the potential the coronavirus that caused the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic came from the lab, rather than from nature.
If the rumors turn out to be true, Dong's defection would be the highest level in the history of the People's Republic of China.
Han Lianchao, a former Chinese ministry official who defected after the 1989 massacre at Tiananmen Square, said the issue of Dong's defection was brought up during the summit between China and the United States in Anchorage earlier this year.
Han, citing an unnamed source, tweeted China's Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, and Yang Jiechi, who is in charge of the Communist Party's foreign affairs, demanded of Secretary of State Antony Blinken that Dong be returned...

Even if this report is 100% correct, our communist party would squelch the bad news on the weaponized news or the Wuhan virus due to the actions of their communist party.

Your post is likely more insightful than you know. Things are not always as they seem. There has been speculation that Xi is working to bring down the CCP and bring back one of the old families to power. Its something to keep an eye on. Trump probably falls in this mix somewhere.
The only thing the Biden admin will do is learn about CCP tactics and follow them. They’ll then turn him back over to the CCP.

It's delusional to think that any moral failings on anyone's part will ever topple any dictator (I can't think of any throughout history), and the Communist Party (including the American Democrat Party), isn't going to give up power for any reason.
It will be a nice follow-on to Biden’s likely Nobel Peace prize award.
If a defector shows up, Biden will gunny sack him and give him right back to the Chinese. Biden was pre-paid for that.
The defector is reported to be giving information to the Biden administration. This guy may well be neutralized by our own agencies and the Biden Administration because he would be totally contradicting the official narrative and he is reporting to people he thinks are the good guys not realizing that this whole administration is beholden to the CCP and will protect the Communists. I suspect this fellow will simply disappear and the Trusted Sources will say that he never existed if they say anything at all..

Yep. At most the Biden/globalist CABAL might want a little more leverage against the CCP to try to stop them from getting too friskie. At most the CCP might go a little more underground in their march toward sole global rule. But if we’re betting on Sino-Russo vs. globalist/Euro/Anglo smarts, my money is on the former.

If the guy is smart he’s already met with Trump and done a data dump, the contents of which will be made public in the event of his demise a lá Wikileaks. There are reliable reports that, in a recent meeting in Alaska with Sec State Blinken, Chinese authorities demanded that Dong be returned to China and Blinken refused. I think this goes far beyond the origins of the Covid-19 virus, and Dong may be giving us detailed information about the entire array of Chinese bioweapons research.

In the same interview, Xi indicated that the height of CCP power is picking your successor, which Xi has NO chance of doing creanry and frankly not even Mao could pull off.
The takeaway here, is that the natural borders of ancient China should be carpet-bombed with low-yield tactical nukes, sparing HK, Tibet and Mongolia; and whoever is left forced into an Apology March into Siberia.
