The White House on Wednesday scrambled to explain what Joe Biden meant when he nodded affirmatively in response to a question about whether or not he could trust Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Biden briefly appeared with Putin for the press ahead of their meeting in Geneva, Switzerland.

As reporters from both Russia and the United States struggled for position during the meeting, Biden paused and looked at his notes, but did not continue speaking.
At one point, the president grinned as the chaos in the press scrum continued.
One American reporter said she asked Biden if he could trust Putin and the president looked at her and nodded.
A White House official immediately clarified on social media that Biden was not responding to any particular question.
“It was a chaotic scrum with reporters shouting over each other. The president was very clearly not responding to any one question, but nodding in acknowledgment to the press generally,” White House Communications Director Kate Bedingfield wrote.
Biden smiled several times as photographers took photos, but Putin remained solemn.
As reporters were asked to leave the room, however, the camera captured Putin laughing although it was unclear why.
Of course Putin was laughing.
He knows a good circus when he sees it.
Putin looked appalled at seeing in person just how far gone Biden is mentally.
Putin is laughing because he has the receipts...and Slow Joe knows it.

Peter Dooci reported that the Ruskie reporters were manhandling the metrosexual Biden staff, er American press pool, pulling them by their shirts and moving them out of the way. Apparently the Ruskie's one the first phase of the summit.
He and other leaders undoubtedly have contempt for Biden, but also must be worried that the most powerful nation in the world is adrift and rudderless.
He nodded because he thought they asked if he wanted the strained peas for dinner.
I’m sure that the world leaders are worried that the US has a senile puppet in the White House. What happens to our economy affects the world economy and their elected positions.

What happens if Putin tells the truth at his press conference? If he comes out and says the meeting was unproductive does the media cover it? If he says Biden is a incoherent person what do the press say?
Are they going to cancel the meeting now?
They will blame the media.
That Putin is obviously showing signs of early dementia.

When you’re dealing with someone and they’re smiling, you’re the one who is losing.
Putin has all the information he needs for the upcoming summit. He is too busy watching Biden give away the store to Iran by restoring their economy in Iran Deal, Part 2 and assuring Iran gets their nuclear arsenal after a few years of touting “peace in our time” and using the media as his bullhorn to tout his message. Putin is sly enough to know actions speak louder than words and Biden’s actions in Iran dispel any tough words Biden may make at the summit for the benefit of his American media.

No, just weak. Power means nothing if you are not willing to assert yourself. We are inviting something very bad because our adversaries see a window of opportunity (i.e., weakness and hesitancy) to exploit at our expense. Unlike us, they are determined to play their hand.
