1. It encourages people to buy electric cars.
2. It demonizes vulnerable pipelines.

Gas stations do not store large amount of fuel anymore. All the stations are out of gas in my area. My cousin wife is picking him up at work because he does not have enough fuel to get home.

Well, unlike toilet paper, most people don’t have any place to store hoarded gasoline. Unless the shortage becomes protracted (and I don’t think it will), the worst that will happen is that people will run around with more gas in their tanks for a little while.
