Last week, when discussing the latest earnings call commentary, Bank of America said "Buckle up! Inflation is here", and showed a chart of the number of mentions of “inflation” during earnings calls which exploded, more than tripling YoY per company so far, the and the biggest jump in history since BofA started keeping records in 2004.

Who knew that just one week later BofA would need a bigger chart... a much bigger chart.

As BofA's Savita Subramanian writes, after the third week of earnings. mentions of “inflation” have now quadrupled YoY; and after last week, mentions have jumped nearly 800% YoY!

Do you know basic math?

Let's say a truck transports 100 new riding mowers which retail for $2,000 each. The value of the cargo is $200,000. Before the hike he used $200.00 of fuel. Now $400.00 of fuel. So per mower that is $2.00 increase in the transportation cost per mower.

So as a percent $2/$2000 = .1% per mower. Nothing.

There you have it. History started in 2004.

Toss in the fact that there’s a serious shortage of drivers for those trucks and it’s going to get worse.

https://www.nbcnews.com/business/consumer/shortage-delivery-drivers-means-gas-station-pumps-could-run-dry-n1265673

All is good, no matter the mean tweets or brash language, while the adults are in charge.

Then the know-it-all kids take over, because they can do it better, because their socialism isn’t like the socialism in Venezuela, and everything goes to sh*t. I’m surprised it’s coming so quick. I was thinking they were going to let things coast for a little bit, try to get some credit for some good times and then start dropping their nonsense.

Can’t imagine what’s going to happen to this red hot housing market.

And with the refugee cap being lifted, CornPop saying that foreigners have a right to compete for US jobs, I wonder what the tech industry is going to start looking like in the coming months as Liberal Hipster Techies Tina and Tyler, get the pink slip for Imran Awan and friends.

Oh wait, they’ll collaborate and develop an app where you can post photos, memes and let everyone know what you had for dinner. Even take a picture of it.

Anyone else recall those “Ask me about my explosive diarrhea.” Tee shirts after that guy claimed it was why he’d been streaking around the WalMart?

Bingo!

It may slow here and there in the short term, but the long term charts show inflation as a permanent upward trend ever since we switched to fiat money. Fans of the system probably figure that is a feature, not a bug.

Hi.

Question. Transitory Hyperinflation to what?

To Venezuela? Cuba? Zimbabwe?

No Ms. Wolff, Claire if I may be so bold, the shooting is about to start.

Grab a good seat with popcorn, or grab an AR 15 and rock and roll.

Imho.

“Limited government is going to be a hard sell in the coming years. “

Those who lament inflation now, or the anticipation of it, will be outraged if steps are taken to curb it.

10-12% Fed funds rate shuts everything down.

Most of those who are opposed to inflation in the abstract enjoy the fruit of profligacy. And they will not give it up easily.

BofA SUCKS.

They are one of the most evil, inept, and woke POS banks in existence today.

I had been with them for decades, and finally my wife and I untangled ourselves from them.

Scum. Leftist, woke, scum they are. And their service SUCKS.

I have been dealing with a couple flatbed trucking companies for years. On April 1st they bumped their rates almost exactly 15%.

As a broker, I pass on that additional freight cost to my customer. Then they increase their price. Down the line it goes.

Couple that with about $2400 per person in funny money that has to be burned through, and you’re going to get some inflation.
