China’s population is aging and the number of births has plummeted. The Central Bank of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has published a paper calling for full liberalization and encouragement of childbearing.
Some experts say that for economic reasons and overall war preparedness, Chinese Leader Xi Jinping may fully lift the birth restrictions.
On April 14, the CCP Central Bank published a working paper titled “Understanding and Countermeasures on Population Transition” on its official WeChat account. The paper pointed out that compared with developed countries, China is facing a more rapidly growing aging population and a more serious declining birth rate.
Acute Demographic Problems
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), if 7 percent of the population of a society is aged 65 or above, it is called an aging society. When the proportion reaches 14 percent, it is called the Aged Society. A proportion of 20 percent is called a “super-aged society.”
China’s aging population ranks first in the world and is aging faster than European and American developed countries, according to the Central Bank’s paper.
According to the figures provided by the paper, China’s population aged 65 and above reached 88.27 million in 2000, accounting for 7 percent of the total population, making the society an aging society. In 2019, the number of people aged 65 or above rose to 176 million, accounting for 12.6 percent of the total. It is estimated that in 2022, the proportion will exceed 14 percent, making it an aged society.
The comparison shows that it only takes 22 years for China to move from an aging society to an aged society, much faster than France (140 years) and Sweden (85 years), which were the first to enter aged societies. It was also faster than the United States (72 years).

The situation of the declining birth rate is even more serious in China. From 1950 to 2019, China rapidly transformed from a high-fertility country to a low-fertility country. The combined fertility rate decreased from 6.71 to 1.70, a decrease of 5.01.
In the same period, the United States, Japan, Britain, and France only decreased by 1.28, 2.08, 0.33, and 1.00 respectively.
Probably too late but they don’t open the world up to their doors like we do as our birthrate also is at dangerous levels besides the colonists.
Gee, a virus preying on the elderly with comorbidities could help to flatten that curve.

They main Chinese ethnic group are Han and there is an underlying racial issue of accepting other genotypes who are not. Minority groups that are not the preferred Han genetic makeup according to the Chinese government ... well you can get the idea. The uyghurs are the worst for the Han as they are not a genetically acceptable group, are social and religious outcasts to proper Chinese ways, and are nonconformists to the new social credit system. Other minorities may not be treated as bad but many other Chinese clans and non-Chinese indigenous tribes are isolated and lead poor lives. If you ain’t Han, you are s@%#.
So my reason for the diatribe is the Han do not treat non-Han well so open borders is likely not to happen. There more likely to take over more countries to export Chinese to. They Tolerate westerners if we bring something to the table to trade or we can be used. A good portion of the Han see other nations especially Asian nations, as trash. This is more of the northern Chinese problem , the Hong Kong area is a hodgepodge of ethnicity so status and money is king there.

One HUGE difference — The Chicoms do not tolerate wokeness. They teach their young generation to be proud of China, the Chinese people and makes no excuses for her history.
We used to teach these in our schools. Not anymore. We are breeding a generation of kids who are ashamed of our country and its history.

Currently you have millions of one child families with both parents and 4 grandparents desperately pinning their hopes on that child. There are some seriously, seriously, seriously spoiled kids in China. They make US millennial’s look demur, polite and hardworking.
Hong Kong is the same way. It is so expensive there people don’t get married until they are 40 and only have one child. It is a city of 350,000 misbehaving children.
Then there is the other end of the spectrum. Many of the kids are pushed so hard academically that they are just weird. In my time in HK and China teaching school I really felt sorry for them. Children shouldn’t have anxiety dreams in the third grade. One of my hats was Textbook Manager. At the end of every academic year I’d have parents want to check out their child’s books early so they could drill and kill them over the summer. Often you’d have a child come back with EVERY answer in a math book memorized.
But, never once did I have a parent ask about music, or art. They also didn’t care about ethics or honesty most of the time. Win, succeed, achieve, first place, was all that mattered. I had to explain to more than one that an 85% in SAT was not a B.
Honestly, a lot of those kids were socially stunted, mean and extremely self centered. I’ve seen boys in 11th grade that could not tie their shoes because the maid dressed them in the morning. I ran across multiple kids in high school that didn’t know how to turn on a microwave oven, or that didn’t know you couldn’t put metal plates in one. And this was in a Christian school.
The “Covid hysteria timeline” is a replacement story for what is actually going on with the global labor supply.
The global labor supply is shrinking, that means less producers will be available to create the wealth that made the 1979-1999 time period a great economy. Anybody alive today, will not see the same equity expansion over the next 20 or 30 years.
The stock market will do well through the 2020’s then hit a brick wall in the mid 2030’s.
I’ll only be investing in Companies that know how to utilize labor. Companies that have to import labor or can’t find the right employees, I’m done with.
The “Baby Boomer” economy is over.
Boomers were born between 1946-1964.
When the inflationary 1970’s hit, their ages on the low end were 6-16 years old & 24-34 years old on the high end. It was a young work force that could absorb the inflation.
Today they’re between the ages of 56-74 and will be “eating dirt” or sitting in a urn over the next 2 to 3 decades.
The only bailout to keep the wealth creation going is robotics. However, that industry isn’t mature enough on the maintenance side of business, yet.
Its excellent on the production side of business though. I’m a manufacturer, the stuff coming down supply chains and pipelines over the next decade, will be phenomenal.

The proof is in the pudding, Baby Boomers are the oldest generation and they are currently running the country and the country is now going full communist and has gone to 5hit. All the previous generations are 99% dead and are either in heaven or hell or being reborn as any of the 52 genders.

A friend of mine deals with many Chinese companies. In private his counterparts in China tell him that they all believe that the CCP intentionally designed a virus to kill off older & sicker people.
Always remember the first & most victimized group by the CCP is the Chinese people. They are no fools, they are just forced into subservience. Often with the help of American multinational tech companies like Facebook, Google & Twitter.

Nope, my father and mother were born in 1939 and 1940 respectively, part of a pre WW II generation.
That being said I have an older brother and many aunts, uncles, and cousins that are Boomers and most of them were and are dip5hits. I would not trust most of them to watch my dog.

Why do boomer offer unsolicited advice on subjects and people they know nothing about?
Answer: Because they are a bunch of over educated arrogant assholes, who made there wealth through asset inflation.
Asset inflation that wasn’t available for there hardworking parents that grinded through the depression. Asset inflation that won’t be available for the small number of children they produced.
