Valerie Jarrett, president of the Obama Foundation, is under brutal fire on social media for her “knife fight” tweet, follwing the police shooting of a 16-year old Black girl in Columbus, OH on Tuesday.
The former senior adviser to President Barack Obama, tweeted Wednesday after the Columbus police bodycam footage was released showing the teen girl, who was fatally shot, swinging a knife at another girl and about to stab another girl.
As we reported on Tuesday, Bryant knocked down and attempted to stab one woman, and totally ignored police warnings before attemting to stab another unarmed woman right in front of him. The cop may well have saved that (also Black) woman's life:
Jarrett then tweeted:
“A Black teenage girl named Ma’Khia Bryant was killed because a police officer immediately decided to shoot her multiple times in order to break up a knife fight. Demand accountability. Fight for justice. #BlackLivesMatter.”

No I did not.... both her parents were American communists working in Iran when she was born. I did not say that VJ was an Iranian by birth.
I was impressed that the cop shot several times, and every bullet apparently hit the girl, as I saw no holes in the car behind her when she dropped.
I would assume the knife would be tested for fingerprints to resolve that, however in the video, as shown, the other girl does not have a knife.
One knife, not a knife fight. It is an attempted stabbing.
Funny how all these “structural racist” incidents occur after someone in the same neighborhood called 911.

Clearly you did not watch the video. There was actually three girls in the video involved in this altercation. Two girls come from the cops right and down a hill in front of a house. The girl that gets shot, wearing a black t-shirt with white on the front, is clearly brandishing a knife pushes the second girl down onto the sidewalk and the sets out to attack the girl in pink. It was not until the first girl cocks her arm back in preparation to stab the girl in pink does the officer take action. As the first girl is running to the girl in pink the officer shouts to get back. It s only when the girl with the knife begins her motion to stab the girl in the pink does the officer fire four shots in quick succession. The girl in pink runs off to the officer’s right. The girl that was pushed down onto the sidewalk scrambled on her knees behind the cop.
So the girl with the knife did not attack one girl but two, however nothing is said if the girl who was pushed down received any injuries from the knife wielder. Clearly the girl with the knife had the intention and commitment to kill with the knife the girl in pink.
