Obama’s presidency ushered in a new way of doing business between Democrats and corporate America. Donations weren’t enough. Oversight and congressional hearings weren’t enough. This time the big guy would personally inject himself into every transaction and just like any classic movie mobster, President Obama reminded them once government was on the inside there would be no autonomy. They would play by his rules, or else.

The Left has redefined fascism to a point that now no one can recognize it when it actually occurs. But back when I was in grade school, they taught what it really was: a system of society in which a person’s rights, privilages, and responsibilities are determined by their rank in government, with government controlling all that happens. BIG GOVERNMENT. But now they say it’s white supremacy and corporatism. Those were certainly elements of fascism in the Axis powers back in the 1930’s, but they don’t define it.
Keep beating the dead horse of fascism while the Chinese Communist Party pounds what’s left of the country into oblivion, snickering at the idiots running around chasing fascists.

Corporations being owned by the government would be communism. There is no private property, hence, no private ownership of corporate entities.

Think perhaps your statement incorrect. Mussolini bragged about how many business entities owned by or in hands of the state. There have been big arguments about the economic nature of Facism, some contradicting each other. So if I am mistaken, willing to stand corrected.
In America right now, we have a new tyranny. It is a marriage of the government and corporations, each keeping the other in power and both controlling the people.
It’s not the outright ownership, but control, which is more the fascist angle. Profits are not directly and completely directed to government coffers as it would be in commieville.
I.e., companies bend over backwards to do what the gov wants. They can’t exist without gov favor.
That has been in place for awhile to a lesser degree in the US- company wants to corner the market, so gets congress to pass laws that favor that. You rub my back, I rub yours.
Communist, Socialist, Fascist? Those terms can be debated left and right (pun intended). Bottom line - Tyranny.
Under the German Fascist model, the means of production were still privately “owned”, but the owners were told what to do and how by Government, under threats of force against individuals, right down to the local level.
Socialism was the opposite; the government took actual ownership of the means of production. Owners, if they survived, became mere employees of the government.
Neither one works. They both quickly devolve into “management by political favoritism”, (in lieu of free-market meritocracy), which is the best recipe for failure in the long run since the 17th century “royal patent” system.

The founders put the natural born citizen clause in the Constitution to prevent the children of foreigners from being in the Oval Office.

Bottom line everyone, I think we do not have Communism or Facism in its traditional form. We have a hybrid where corporations choose politicians with huge donations and politicians do the Corporations bidding. It is the Managerial Revolution achieved. And it is dangerous and destructive of true Cassical conservatism, small business, the free market and individual freedom.
