The court has convened for the day.
Chauvin has made the court aware that he will not testify in this case, choosing to invoke his Fifth Amendment privilege.
The defense will rest its case Thursday with the state planning to call rebuttal witnesses to address some "newly discovered evidence."
State prosecutor Jerry Blackwell says the state has blood gas evidence from Hennepin County "that would contain blood gas reading for the carbon monoxide content in Mr. Floyd's blood on May 25, 2020." He adds the state was just notified of this evidence on carbon monoxide Wednesday. According to Blackwell, Hennepin County Medical Examiner Dr. Andrew Baker discovered it.

The stores are being boarded up as Typhoid Floyd approaches their coastline.
The big difference is that in Florida, the wind blows hard and most stores stand the gale force winds. In Minnesota, against fire . . . not so much.
That was the biggest mistake of that trial. Did they REALLY think OJ was just going to slip it on nice and easy? Of COURSE he was going to expand his hand, and struggle and act...my gosh he acted in all kinds of films....like he it didn't fit?
Maybe he is so emotionally distraught at this point the defense thought he might break down and that would look like he is remorseful of “killing” Floyd.
For the best detective series ever check out Prime video—DCI Banks. really gives you a good perespective of police work and the slime they have to deal with..terrific acting.
He couldn’t find it until now because no test for that gas was ever done in the autopsy
Not gonna happen.
All of the mayors in and around the metro area, along with Gov. Walz have stated that they will not allow looting and destruction of property.
So, there.
;-)
Thnx
I need one more week and then I don’t care WTF they do...
“They can now assume he had evil intentions.”
With the crowd standing around and the anti-police climate, how could Chauvin want to even give the appearance of undue harshness?
Yep, both the trials and the riots.
And I'd say he had a heart attack caused by a bad heart and other physical problems.
His stress was self induced. All he had to do was get in the car instead of plopping himself on the pavement.
The I can't breathe...simply does not hold up.
>>>So, there<<<
Now that’s a relief! Phew!
Doesn’t help their case one little bit. The prosecutor kept saying over and over that he couldn’t breathe...well, not with those oxygen levels.
Acquittal: riots
Mistrial: riots
Manslaughter: riots
Murder: joyful riots
I suppose that snotty Blackwell will present the prosecution’s closing statement? Or can they have more than one do that, too?
The trial will be ending just in time for the nice weather. The street savages still haven’t cleaned out all the sneakers, malt liquor and flatpanel TVs. There are a few buildings that haven’t been burned to the ground. A few women haven’t been raped yet. A dozen or so old Whiteys are still there and haven’t been bashed with a rock yet.
The “mostly peaceful” demonstrations will be beginning soon.
The “I can’t breathe” comes from many seasons of “COPS” TV shows. It’s a stock response to being arrested.
Yeah. The prosecution sure looked like a conga line, didn’t it?
Prepare for mostly peaceful riots.
The evidence is now in.
There was speculation a defense toxicologist would be called to talk about no tox examination of the stomach contents.
That did not happen. So such an exam may have been irrevelent.
“””Really? I thought their witness - Fowler - did incredibly well. He was solid on direct and cross-examination was a big nothingburger for the state. He was the only witness where I watched (almost all) his the testimony live during the trial.”””
I agree with your observations.
I also believe it may have been a defense strategy to not call any other expert witnesses who might confuse the jurors with slightly different viewpoints. Also, the defense strategy of having only one lawyer standing up against the four prosecution lawyers, presents a David vs Goliath picture for the jurors.
“””He couldn’t find it until now because no test for that gas was ever done in the autopsy”””
The Medical Examiner had done the carbon monoxide test at autopsy, but they had not given the information to the prosecution or defense as required by discovery rules.
The Judge was righteously P-——Off.
