Dan Fogelman, creator of NBC’s hit drama This Is Us, says it was important that the network push the season 5 premiere up so audiences could see the Black Lies Matter and coronavirus themes he had “woven” into the show before the Election day.
The season 5 opener and its first few episodes will reportedly focus on the hurtful words delivered during last season’s finale between the Pearson brothers, Kevin (Justin Hartley) and Randall (Sterling K. Brown). But during Friday’s panel discussion about the upcoming season, Fogelman said that he also shoved political charged themes into the first episode and wanted it aired ahead of the 2020 presidential election, Variety reported.
Fogelman insisted that he made a “conscious decision” to add the coronavirus and Black Lives Matter themes that he said are “woven into the show.”

it’s a prime time soap opera, I think 30 somethings are into it.
Should be called “Black Lives of the Rich and Famous” and feature their multi million dollar homes. “After months of Burning down businesses and destroying innocent peoples lives, some time by the pool with a frosty cold one is in order.”
Among new shows? Very few, if any. Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! as far as new episodes still being taped.
Even The Price is Right has been tainted in the last year by featuring drag queens and doing a prime time special to raise money for Planned Parenthood.
“Woven into the show. “ Entertainment is not made to entertain us. It is made to insert a theme into our heads. The story line is there only to grab our attention and to make us turn on our willful suspension of disbelief. While our defenses are weakened, they slip in the propaganda.
The few minutes I spent wasted on this pablum for fools was time I shall never regain in my life.

The Marxist academia has trained everyone in the media industries - all across the board - that their work should not just be artistic, entertaining and informing (news) it should have a “socially relevant” narrative.
Now the “artistic” part and the “truthful reporting” part have taken last place far behind the “socially relevant” part, and both “art” and truthful reporting have suffered.
Because the latter part has been warped so much, with the politically manufactured narrative of what is really happening, the “artistic” folks are now tools, led to presume and act as if the images presented by “news” are valid, and from that get their cues as to what is “socially relevant”.
The Marxists have the whole “media” sphere operating in a closed circle of Marxist inspired influence - the “news” informs the “artists” as to what the narrative and agenda is, and the artists “entertain” by selling that agenda in their “art”, followed by how the “news” lifts up and rewards the “artists” that have correctly followed what the “news” sold to them. If I were writing a porn script, you’d call it a “circle jerk”.
That is called “memory”, of an old fart like me.
