President Biden announced Tuesday that the deadline for adult eligibility for COVID-19 vaccines nationwide is being moved up to April 19. Mr. Biden had previously called for states and territories to make all adults eligible for shots by May 1.

As of Tuesday, 36 states have opened eligibility for vaccinations to people ages 16 and older, while 12 more and the District Columbia are already set to do so by April 19. In other words, most states were already on track to match the president's new April 19 deadline before he announced it.

Complete Bullschitt. The media created anxiety completely blowing the disease out of proportion. There were more anxiety cases reported by COVID patients than the control group (mainly flu patients) (click for full size)

But not a lot more than flu. Also the other serious complications were below 1% of patients except for stroke which was 2% versus 1.5% of flu patients getting a stroke.

This is nonevent. Most states opened the vaccinations to everybody already. And, declaring that anybody can get it now, does not make one more dose. One could even argue, that the poor senior citizens, who are not able to navigate the appointment system, will be even more shafted.

“For 13% of patients, it was their first recorded neurological or psychiatric diagnosis.”

IOW, 67% of patients found with neurological or psychiatric diagnosis had such diagnosis before contracting Covid.

Of the 13% who didn’t have such a diagnosis before Covid, how many actually had the problem, but simply hadn’t been diagnosed?

Lancet has become a propaganda rag.

The only thing worse than Lancet is the propaganda media that quote the Lancet. Headline should be "5% of COVID patients have worse effects than the control group (flu patients) and of those 5%, most were anxiety"

i thought the various states made those decisions - not the federal government.
