Portland, Oregon Police to City: We Quit

Many Portland, Oregon Police officers and supervisors left the state’s largest police force over the last year by taking early retirement or by quitting, according to The Oregonian.

City employees who turned in their badges or retired were brutally honest about their reasons for getting out. "The community shows zero support. The city council are raging idiots, in addition to being stupid. Additionally, the mayor and council ignore facts on crime and policing in favor of radical leftist and anarchists’ fantasy. What’s worse is ppb command (Lt. and above) is arrogantly incompetent and cowardly," one retiring detective wrote, reports the Washington Examiner.

All we need to know about the types of people that rise to high levels in police departments is seeing the police chief in Minneapolis throw Chauvin under the bus.

Yup—you do not want to be a cop in a Democratic controlled city if the thugs don’t get the lynching they want.

There are some 800 cops in Portland or were last year. Since July some 115 have retired or resigned to work elsewhere.

The story in the newspaper which was subscriber-exclusive online included a picture of a billboard put up in Portland advertising 40 police officer jobs for the Spokane County Washington Sheriff’s Department.

Seattle had a bunch of cops quit - including the Chief.

It worked out “well” for the City Council though. Now they don’t have to figure out where the cuts would be made when they defunded the police.

Seattle is now a city with tons of homeless people, graffiti and boarded up windows on empty businesses.

The reaction of these cops says nothing about whether they are good or bad. Bad cops don't like being hung out to dry any more than good cops do.
