The gunman who allegedly opened fire in a Boulder, Colorado, grocery store on Monday has been identified as 21-year-old Ahmad Alissa.

The New York Post reports that Alissa was charged with “charged with 10 counts of first-degree murder” on Tuesday.

Everything is politics, but I am not certain that the man who was walked out in his skivvies bleeding from the leg was the gunman.

Consider if you watched the live feed that they put him in an ambulance that was unescorted by police to the hospital. I could not tell if an officer was in the ambulance with him, but it is likely they were.

The police may have been uncertain that the man was a shooter, but they surely did not behave as if he were when they walked him out and it is likely there would be multiple officers accompanying the ambulance to the hospital if the man was a “suspect”.

The media stories today are saying it was a 21yo suspect who was “badly injured”. That man did not appear badly injured.

This is the danger of the news cycle. Little data, lots of spin, and lots of assumptions made by folks based on bad reporting and garbage.

Just throwing that out there.
