The Democratic leader of New York’s Senate called for Gov. Andrew Cuomo to resign Sunday amid mounting allegations of sexual harassment and undercounting COVID-19 deaths in nursing homes.
Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins added her voice to a growing number of Cuomo’s foes and allies who believe the three-term Democrat should step down.
Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie, also a Democrat, stopped short of echoing Stewart-Cousins but said in a statement that “it is time for the Governor to seriously consider whether he can effectively meet the needs of the people of New York.”
On Saturday, another woman who worked for Cuomo publicly accused him of inappropriate behavior, on the heels of other allegations in recent weeks.

Al Capone was a mass-murderer, but that was not the crime for which he was punished. What mattered was that he died in prison. In this case, what matters is that King Cuomo is dethroned.

I say they should be stuck with him. They all knew what he was last year before the election.

That’s a perfect example. That was an either/or. Not a request. And, he was backstopped by Ford, who pardoned him. Good move on Ford’s part. I suspect he knew that would cost him the election. (Well, that and the press.)
Cuomo, on the other hand, either stays in office and tries to bury his genocide of 15,000 elderly, or he will find himself in lots of lawsuits. The sex thing is just the Democrat’s way of saying, yeah, we don’t want to deal with the dead bodies in the next lection so you’ve got to go. Your choice is the benign sex scandal that you can pay out of pocket or possibly prison.
The real scandal is there was no excuse to send ill those people into an environment that would obviously kill lots of elderly. So far, it’s been kept relatively quiet. But it’s like leaving an unexploded bomb in your living room.
Hold on a second! The Dems are stealing the narrative again! This issue isn’t about undercounting and sexual harassment!.........it’s about bloody murder!

I am dying to know what the hell the REAL STORY is behind this throwing him under the bus boy, oh boy, it has to be bigger than killing people in nursing homes!! Dems governors all over the country did exactly what Cuomo did with the nursing homes YET they are walking free and clear!!!
You and me both. The nursing homes is certainly part of it and the dems need to get him out of power before his arrogant defense of his actions becomes too big for the sycophant press to ignore.
There is also a lot of internecine factional power plays behind the scenes. Biden is a puppet, and Kamala is situated as a stop gap, but there are multiple parties under that layer who are positioning to take control of the party by 2024. These shots at Cuomo are part of that battle, but it's not yet clear who all has a hand in orchestrating them.
Does mass murderer Cuomo still get police protection when he resigns? If not then the Gammy killer may want to hire some...
