“The tent program costs $16.1 million. It may not seem like all that much, but it’s the most inefficient program they currently have up there. I mean, $190 a day, around $5,000 a month? That’s a really good wage right there.”

$5,000 per month to hang out on the street and do drugs. Go figure.

No. $2,500 to the politicians. $2,500 to their contracting friends.

Agreed. They should expand the program by an order of magnitude.

So I’ll head to SF and get me a Nice tent. For $5 grand it will have as much square footage as my house and probably come with an air conditioner!

This. The money goes to so-called activist groups that pretend to give a damn about the homeless. Just like how money for poverty programs aimed at inner-city blacks end up in the pockets of race hustlers and city councilmen.

OMG for 5,000 a month they could put them in an apartment and buy groceries for the month AND the apartment in CA. would run $2,000.00 a month for a one bedroom

5 grand to pitch a tent?

Would.love to see exactly where that money goes. How much is a tent at Camping World and other similar places? Something seems odd about all of this.
